Job Summary
Assists in overseeing daily branch operations, managing all staff in the branch, Pharmacy inventory management, Dispatch & Dispensing process, etc.

Responsibilities/Specialized Competencies:

  • Assist to lead staff members in the pharmacy by assigning work tasks, supervising, evaluating, hiring, employee relations and training staff;
  • Assistant to address customer inquiry and complaints with an aim of customer retention;
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures for the pharmacy;
  • Maintain pharmacy and store protocols and procedures i.e. the storage of drugs;
  •  Assist to maintain and manage inventory & stock, ordering new supplies when necessary and keeping inventory areas organized;
  •  Responsible of the profitability of the Branch i.e. collecting money from customers, balance registers, checking daily receipts to maintain the pharmacy budget and getting new customers on board;
  •  Ensure the branch is kept clean, tidy and well organized at all the time;
  • Assist to manage overtime at the branch and ensure timely submission of inputs for payroll processing;
  • Assist to carry out quarterly and annual performance reviews of the branch staff;
  • Oversee orders and delivery to all branch customers;
  •  Visit customers periodically for retention and business relationship management;
  •  Ensure all prescription drugs plus controlled substances are secure and safe in branch;
  • Monitor customer satisfaction trends to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for improvement to management;
  • Manage attendance of the branch staff;
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine or any other related field;
  • Fresh graduate from the reputable health University with Good planning and organization skills, Strong communication skills both verbal and written, Leadership skills, Customer service, Sales, Administration and Interpersonal skills;
  •   Proven Computer skills and strong knowledge of MS Office;
  • Registered with Pharmacy Council with strong knowledge of the state and laws regarding regulation of pharmacy practices in Tanzania will be an added advantage.

The School of St Jude is an education institution, entirely funded by charitable donations, that provides a 100% free, quality education to 1,800 of the poorest and brightest students in the Arusha region.

Objectives.

To positively impact the marketing and fundraising efforts of The School of St Jude by assisting with the creation of compelling and creative photography and videography collateral.

Key tasks & responsibilities

Implementation

    • Ensure all allocated tasks for photography and videos are completed within the set times frames.
    • Develop weekly and monthly personal work plans in consultation with the Head of Marketing.
    • Suggest and support creative direction on all visual marketing materials and ensure the St Jude’s brand is consistently represented across all photos and videos.
    • Watermark images from special events when required.
    • Deliver tasks that are organised, coordinated and directed by the Head of Marketing for the Marketing department and any other department as directed by the Head of Marketing or Manager.
    • Record and edit St Jude’s Podcast as organised and directed by the Head of Marketing.
    • Assist with annual photo taking, special celebration day photography and videography as required and with the approval of the Head of Marketing.
    • Take Staff ID photos monthly, make and print staff ID’s under HR instructions.
  • Update intranet with photos of new staff on a monthly basis.
  • Interview students, staff, sponsors, donors and visitors as required for the production of video and audio recordings.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to take photos and videos of interesting classes, professional development activities, presentations, performances, excursions, school assemblies, VIP supported activities, sponsors, donors and visitors at the school and in the wider community.
  • Edit, label, resize, sort and file digital images and videos logically and within set timeframes.
  • Maintain, track and record all photography and videography related equipment in accordance with the IT/photography equipment responsibility agreement.

Continuous Improvement

  • Keep updated with photography and videography trends that may positively influence the photography and videography for the school.
  • In collaboration with Head of Marketing, implement agreed improvements.
  • Always take care of the photography and videography equipment as you would your own.

Other

    • Periodically suggest improvements to the departments’ procedures and submit to supervisor for approval.
    • Participate in House Checks as requested by Community Relations team.
  • Participate and support fellow staff in school mission related activities such as all
  • School Celebration Days throughout the year.
  • Participate in student selection process, in particular working after hours on rest days and public holidays up to 20 Saturdays per annum.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor, Manager and Founder.

Qualifications, Skills & Key Attributes

    • Excellent organisational skills and ability to set timelines and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong creative skills in multimedia, content development and production.
    • Exceptional communication skills (written and oral) in English and Kiswahili and ability to spell accurately.
    • Excellent photography skills including editing and retouching with advanced knowledge of Photoshop and Lightroom required.
    • Excellent video making skills including advanced knowledge of Premiere Pro required.
    • Knowledge of After Effects, Audition, InDesign and Illustrator are desirable.
    • Strong inter-personal skills to work in collaboration with all other departments
  • Confident in dealing with a range of people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail particularly with regards to data-entry and digital image labelling.
  • Ability to work as part of a close team of Tanzanian and International staff.

Other Relevant Information

Travel between campuses may be required.
From 08:30am to 05:00pm Monday to Friday. (Occasionally on Saturday).

Job Description – Senior Actuary
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the role will also support both the Finance and the Underwriting departments and will help on risk analysis, stress testing, reserving, pricing and implementation of IFRS17.

Responsibilities

Develop or improve claims reserving methodologies
Develop and maintain a reliable statistical database
Develop a stress-testing model and conduct regular stress tests
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Develop or improve ATI’s pricing model and monitor pricing adequacy for ATI’s overall book of business
Assist with presentation of rate impacts to key stakeholders including senior management and ATI’s major accounts
Help optimize ATI’s reinsurance program
Establish and document actuarial procedures and methodologies
Provide data, analysis and support to various external and internal customers; including auditors, reinsurers and reinsurance brokers, when required
Stay abreast of trends and innovations in the actuarial profession related to pricing, reserving, credit and related areas
Develop a thorough understanding of IFRS 17 requirements from both an actuarial and accounting perspective
Advise and provide the necessary support on the IFRS 17 implementation project and proactively participate in the implementation of an IFRS 17 tool
Coach other staff on the use and interpretation of standard actuarial procedures in the risk, underwriting, claims and finance departments

Qualifications & Attributes 

Qualified Actuary
6-8 years of experience in actuarial field, including supporting actuarial reserving, pricing or financial modeling in the financial sector, related to Corporate or Commercial Insurance. This experience period may include some time spent completing the qualification process
Experience obtained in corporate or commercial banking or Insurance firms
A combination of education and experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the work will also be considered
Familiarity with appropriate data analytics tools
Ability to deliver timely, organized and consistent results
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Written and oral English is pre-requisite
French language proficiency is an added advantage

Job Description – Admin Assistant (Finance)

Under the supervision of, and reporting to the Senior Administrative & Procurement Officer, the functions and duties shall be as follows:

Timely process and submit VAT exemption applications to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and proactively follow up on approvals of the applications
Perform protocol/logistical functions involving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Kenya Revenue Authority
Manage files and filling room
Manage the stores including receipt, issuance of stock items
Assist with managing the fixed asset physical inventory
Assist with the disposal of used/redundant assets
Supervise the drivers
Manage the cleaning and security of outsourced services
Office management including minor maintenance/repair works

Arrange for banqueting facilities during internal meetings
Responsible for acquisition and maintenance of records of kitchen supplies
Assist with staff relocations
Perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications & Attributes

University Degree
Ability to work and draft memos and letters with minimum or no supervision
At least four years of experience working in a Multilateral Institution
Experience in dealing with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Kenya Revenue Authority
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
