HR World Limited on behalf of our client we are looking for Planning and Product Costing Manager  to provide Planning and Product Costing and Inventory control support to optimize Profitability for the Company in line with Financial Policies and Procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contributes annually to developing the 5 year Strategic Plan by analysing sector and industry trends, competitive threats, projecting customer product demand for volume, cost performance, pricing trends and gross margins. Presents and analyses with Directors the foregoing to establish final strategies.
  • Co-ordinates the Preparation of the Annual Sales and Operating Plan for review and approval by the Directors
  • Reviews Management Accounts prepared by the Management Accountant and from Upcountry operations on a monthly basis and ensures reports are circulated timeously to the departmental managers
  • On weekly basis reviews the Working Capital Plan and ensures Loan to Value Ratio does not fall beyond the bank’s requirement, and provides updates to the Finance Manager/Treasury Accountant.
  • Prepares budget refocasts and runs inventory valuation in line with new cost parameters
  • On a quarterly basis, prepares cost reconciliations and proposes the required adjustments including deferred crop costs, Manufacturing costs, future crop costs and cost releases
  • On a Quarterly basis, prepares updates relating to factory conversion costs based on changes in budget assumptions, and provides high level commentary for any variations arising between the original plan and the latest forecast
  • Assists the Finance Director to prepare costing/pricing models for all new projects

  •  A degree in Economics/ Accounting with CPA/ACCA, with Six Years’ experience in Planning and Product costing.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Represent PASADA and coordinate with the council health management team regarding HIV and health related activities.
  • Hold monthly meetings with care and treatment centers (CTC) in implementation area to support shared confidentiality, facilitate case conferencing, improve bi-directional referral system and ensure HIV positive beneficiaries receive needed services
  • Support early childhood development (ECD) corners at targeted health facilities including regular monitoring supportive supervi­sion
  • Support community case workers (CCW’s) to work with high pediatric volume CTCs to trace HIV positive OVC who miss appoint­ments, enroll them into Kizazi kipya project and link them back to CTCs.
  • Support CCWs to conduct HIV risk assessments for OVC during case management, refer and link at risk OVC to HIV testing and counseling (HTC)
  • Schedule quarterly sexual reproductive health education outreaches to teen clubs and organize HTC outreaches for adoles­cents with high risk behaviors
  • To roll out a supplemental HIV curriculum to CCWs and ensure CCWs provide appropriate support to HIV positive OVC and care givers
  • Support CCWs to strengthen the capacity of care givers to support HIV positive OVC and ensure CCWs refer HIV positive OVC and caregivers to PLHIV support groups
  • Ensure screening of caregivers for depression and link them to appropriate services
  • Support the roll out of evidence based curriculums relating to HIV (eg. Stepping stones, sexual reproductive health education, care for child development etc)
  • Support the establishment of a bi-directional referral system to monitor beneficiaries through the HIV continuum of care as service completion for other health and social services.
  • Monitor implementation, bottlenecks, performance metrics of the bi-directional referral system; proactively offer solutions, conduct quality improvement activities and implement adjustments to improve referral outcomes
  • Coordinate quarterly district level quality improvement meetings with relevant bi-directional referral system stakeholders, ensure actions from the meetings are implemented and the bi-directional referral system is improved
  • Work with Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) officer to ensure all bi-directional referral data are accurate and produced weekly; use data for decision making
  • Lead the development of a service directory for health, nutrition and HIV services in implementation area; update the directory at least once per year
  • Support CCWs to conduct nutrition activities, including nutrition assessments, counseling and linkages to other nutrition service providers
  • Provide continuous supportive supervision to CCWs to ensure provision of health related services, referral and linkage to beneficiaries
  • Submit timely updates to the program coordinator for inclusion in the quarterly, semiannual and annual reports.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for experience sharing and replication
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the project coordinator

  • Ensure preparation and timely completion and submission of both financial and narrative reports (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual)
  • Work with M& E coordinator to ensure that appropriate data is obtained to produce high quality timely reports.
  • In collaboration with organization management, mentors project managers as appropriate in project management, organization development and community development issues.
  • Ensure staff are supported to deliver quality results in all project implementation activities.
  • Providing a mentoring and guidance to the team members and models best practices, advises and train other team members on organization policies, procedures, tools, and methodologies as needed.
  • Represents USAID Kizazi Kipya Project in public events, stakeholders meeting and coordinate with other Donor funded programs at council level.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Master Degree in Sociology, Public Health, Development Studies, Project management, Business Administration or Economic Development,
  • At least 10 years relevant experience in donor funded projects
  • Previous experience managing staff.
  • Experience in at least one of the following technical areas: Economic Strengthening, Youth and Adolescent work, Case manage­ment, Bi-Directional Reference, or Child Protection.
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili.

The Opportunity   

Jambo for Development is embarking on ‘a journey to independence and sustainability’ and is pursuing an ambitious 5 year vision that will see it expand and scale its programmes significantly. Reporting Relationships 

The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and Board Chairperson directly. Members of management and all other team Members and volunteers report directly or indirectly to the Executive Director.

The Ideal Candidate 

The Executive Director will set the strategy, vision and mission, build the JFD culture, lead the management team members, and allocate resources appropriately. Working with the Board, the Executive Director will set important goals for the organisation and work systematically to meet them.

The Executive Director will define the JFD priorities and direction. S/he will assesss and evaluate strategies, decide how the organisation will differentiate itself from peer organisations, and will hire team members, set budgets, forge alliances and build partnerships to further the JFD goals. Main Job Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

With support from M&E Manager the M&E Officer will be responsible for developing, upgrading and maintaining Marie Stopes Tanzania’s (MST’s) health management information system (HMIS) to ensure the highest quality of MST’s routine clinical data and donor reports. S/he will also provide routine technical support on health information systems to outreach and centres.

Among the Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support in revision of the project log frame, particularly in the areas of performance indicators and their measurement,
  • Support project progress reporting, project mid-term review and final evaluation,
  • Utilize the Collaborative, Learning and Adapting Approach to continually assess project progress and inform project management decision-making,
  • Ensure data quality standards are adhered and followed across the program and support implementation of data audits,
  • Document results of the M & E system and produce periodic reports as required by management and the global team,
  • Monitor the correct use of the HMIS to centres and outreach, and troubleshoot any technical problems,
  • Review performance of HMIS, with input from MSI technical team and MST staff, and recommend and implement upgrades as necessary,
  • Using external contractors where necessary, coordinate development and field testing of the HMIS system for MST,
  • Gather input from MSI’s global HMIS advisors and MST’s Research, Operations and Project teams, as well as the IT Manager and centre and outreach team leaders to design a health management information system that best meets MST’s needs,
