We are seeking a creative and energetic individual to fill the position below based in Arusha, Tanzania at The School of St Jude.
MODE OF JOB APPLICATION



Purpose
To contribute to supporter retention and renewal by delivering high quality sponsor and donor stewardship, proactive relationship management and targeted written communications.
Communications Officer
Key Responsibilities
Communications
• Draft, review and update supporter communications to ensure content accuracy and quality.
• Develop new and innovative ways to engage supporters through communications tools.
Planning and Implementation
• Update and implement supporter communications timelines and monitor workflow for team members to ensure adherence to deadlines.
• Manage Outlook inbox to ensure supporter queries are responded to and actioned in a timely, accurate and courteous manner in line with the house style. Ensure all inbox communications are recorded correctly in supporter database and filed into appropriate outlook folders.
• Coordinate the production of communications collateral with graphic design.
• Coordinate the distribution of communication collateral in collaboration with team members.
• Maintain accurate records, create templates and produce reports in supporter database.
• Identify solutions to supporter issues in consultation with Head of Department.
Monitoring
• Track, monitor and record progress of supporter communications against KPIs for monthly management reports.
Other Duties
• Participate and support fellow staff in school mission related activities such as all School Celebration Days throughout the year.
• Participate in student selection process, in particular working after hours on rest days and public holidays up to 20 Saturdays per annum.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Head of Department and Manager.

• Ability to write engaging content for supporters of the program.
• Photography and videography experience desirable.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Organisational skills, good time management and ability to work independently.

Digital Marketing Officer
Key Responsibilities
• In consultation with the Head of Marketing, contribute to the development and implementation of the digital marketing strategy.
• In consultation with the Head of Marketing, devise strategies to drive online traffic to the St Jude’s online platforms including St Jude’s website, blog and social media channels.
• Advise on and implement search engine optimisation strategies.
• Write and upload content for the online platforms including website, blog and social media channels.
• Write content for and distribute the monthly e-newsletter and clean-up database after each distribution.
• Revise existing and/or create new email templates and web assets.
• Work with the graphic designer to revise existing and/or create new email templates and web assets as required.
• Review, proof read and disseminate accurate and relevant information on St Jude’s digital and online platforms.
• Proof check and update digital and online communication tools distributed by the Marketing team.
• Support development of and proof check digital and online communication tools distributed by other teams.
• Coordinate production of a variety of digital and traditional media corporate and marketing communications.
• Monitor and report on website visitation, social media engagement and conversion results.
• Strive to continually improve the usability, design, content and conversion of the digital and online communication tools.
• Review new technologies and keep up to date with latest trends in digital marketing and fundraising, making recommendations for relevant revenue generating initiatives.

Marketing Officer
We are looking to appoint a Marketing Officer to positively impact the marketing and fundraising efforts of the school through content development and analysis of organisational marketing.
Key Responsibilities
• In consultation with the Head of Marketing, contribute to the development and implementation of the marketing strategy.
• In consultation with the Head of Marketing, devise strategies to drive engagement with St Jude’s across both digital and print channels.
• Seek and facilitate media opportunities in Australia for The School of St Jude.
• Plan and execute systematic and thorough tests on audience engagement that deliver continuous learning and help fundraising activity adapt to changing supporter behavior and values.
• Provide insightful and timely results analysis that helps to improve future activity and are communicated clearly to everyone who needs to understand them.
• Write and coordinate production of a variety of engaging content for digital and print media, and marketing communications that can be utilized by our supporters.
• Continually promote and improve engagement with visitors to the School, prior, during and after their visit, from a marketing perspective, and create relevant marketing collateral to facilitate this.
• Work with the graphic designer to revise existing and/or create new marketing collateral as required.
