UDOM: NOTICE OF 8th GRADUATION CEREMONIES 2017/2018

The University of Dodoma (UDOM) is pleased to announce that its 8th Graduation Ceremony will be held on 22nd and 23rd November 2017. The ceremony will be preceded by the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the University of Dodoma Convocation and Prize giving ceremony to be held on 21st November, 2017. The Guest of Honor will be H.E. Benjamin William Mkapa, the Chancellor of the University of Dodoma. During the meeting, H.E. Benjamin William Mkapa will deliver a public lecture. The ceremony will be divided as follows:


Wednesday 22th November 2017

  • College of Education (COED),
  • College of Health Sciences (CHS),
  • College of Informatics and Virtual Education (CIVE),
  • College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences (CNMS) and
  • College of Earth Sciences (CES).

Thursday 23rd November 2017

  • College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS)
  • College of Business Studies and Law (CBSL)

 

Venue and time

All activities will be held at Chimwaga Hall, at UDOM. On each day, the ceremony will start at 1.00 p.m. and will be for all candidates who have successfully completed their studies and qualified for various awards of The University of Dodoma for the academic year 2016/2017.

 

Participation in the Graduation Ceremony

  • Graduands are required to confirm their intention to participate by 15th November 2017 through UDOMSR System by paying TSh. 40,000/= non-refundable
  • Payment must be made upfront through CRDB Bank PLC, Account: UDOM Central Administration (CRDB)- 0150221567400. Bank deposit slips should be scanned and uploaded when confirming through UDOMSR System.
  • The gowns shall be collected at Chimwaga Postal Building between 19th and 21st November 2017 starting from 10.00 a.m. each day. All gowns should be returned before the end of the fifth day after the graduation ceremony; Failure to comply shall attract a penalty of Tsh. 10,000/= per each extra day. A penalty of TSh. 300,000/= will be levied for not returning the graduation gown and certificates will be withheld until the payment of the penalty is done.

 

Rehearsal

  • All attending graduands SHALL participate in a rehearsal that will be held at the Chimwaga Building grounds on the day of graduation starting at 8:00 a.m. Attendance to the rehearsal is mandatory for all graduands who intend to participate in the graduation ceremonies.
  • Graduands who will not participate in the rehearsal shall not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony; instead, the awards will be conferred in absentia.
  • All graduands will meet their own travel, lodging and incidental expenses.

 

NOTE: Failure or late confirmation will prevent you from participating in the ceremony.

Sokoine University of Agriculture wishes to inform the following prospective students with multiple admissions in third round to report for registration if they decide to join SUA. Prospective students are advised to report on 30th October, 2017 and observe the following:

  1. All prospective students selected to join BSc. Environmental Science and Management, BSc. Education BSc. Agricultural Education, Bachelor of Rural Development, BSc. Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, BSc. Applied Agricultural Extension, BSc. Range Management, BSc. Informatics and Bachelor of Tourism Management should report to the Solomon Mahlangu Campus (SMC) at Mazimbu directly from Msamvu bus terminal.
  2. Students selected to join the rest of the degree programs should report to the SUA Main Campus (MC).
  3. All admitted students should download admission letters and fee payment invoices at www.suasis.suanet.ac.tz  through their SUASIS (SUA Student Information System) accounts. SUASIS can be accessed using the username and password provided to you during application.
  4. Each student MUST upload a recent high quality passport size photo on his/her web page before reporting to SUA for official use. This must be of the same quality as those used for passports or Identity cards.

The following applicants have been selected to join various degree programmes for 2017/2018 academic year which commences on the 30th October, 2017. Prospective Students are advised to observe the following:

  • Ensure all employee files are organised and updated in the HR Information System.
  • Provide information by collecting time and attendance records.
  • Submit employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
  • Maintain employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data in the HRIS (Aruti preferably).
  • Provides secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
