Duties and responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team to perform daily accounting task and manage month-end activities to ensure timely issue of report incorporating key financial and non-financial KPls
• Guide the management to deliver budget and forecast
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of profit and loss accounts budget, cash flows variance analysis and commentaries
• Monitor and promote compliance to financial policies and regulations
• Preparing tax return to ensure compliance with payment reporting and due to dates
• Review and analyzing financial records to prepare end of the year financial statement
• Administering payroll and controlling income and expenditure
• Supervising baking and bank reconciliation

Core Function: 
The purpose of this position is to plan, perform, report and follow-up on specific investigation assignments in Vision Fund Tanzania Microfinance Bank Ltd under the guidance of the VFT Head of Internal Audit and Investigations

Main Duties & Responsibilities: 
a) Preparing investigation engagement memos and develop and implement investigation procedures to validate reported fraud, corruption, waste, embezzlement and abuse.
b) Leading and/or performing financial and operational investigations in VFT Head Office, Branches and Business centers, involving reported allegations of fraud, waste and abuse in accordance with VFI and VFT policies and procedures.
c) Examining and evaluating suspected fraud allegations through detailed review and analysis of documentary and physical evidence, contact with claimants, witnesses and experts. The holder will perform fraud investigations and submit reports to the VFT Head of Internal Audit and Investigations, creating and supporting implementation of preventive measures to mitigate fraud risk.
d) Investigating any reported suspicious activity and report discoveries to the Head of Internal Audit and Investigations; interacting with external partners such as law enforcement agencies, vendors and banks to verify information and determine the validity of the fraud allegations.
e) Handle the Whistleblower hotline, receive the whistle blows maintain the whistle-blow register, maintain the whistleblowers with high confidentiality and conducting the investigations for whistle-blows related to fraud, corruption, waste, embezzlement and abuse.
f) Join with the other Internal Audit team to conduct the normal audit exercise, whenever there are no fraud cases to investigate.

Key qualifications and experience 

i. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Laws, Criminal Justice, Finance, or a related field.
ii. CFE – Certification or related certification in fraud investigation
iii. Certified Fraud examiner (CFE).
iv. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CA (Chartered Accountant).

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 
1. 3 years’ professional experience in investigation, auditing
2. Data analysis/data mining skills
3. Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening and relationship building
4. Proficient Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
5. Proven ability to promote team-building and interpersonal skills, for successful result
6. Good time management for assignments completed in a timely manner
7. Experience of the financial institutions investigations or audits

Other Skills 
1. Must be a self-motivated person who can work under tight timeframes with minimal supervision
2. Fluency in English & Swahili, solid verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to present results using strong presentation, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Proven experience to produce quality outputs under pressure.

Position: Senior Medical Counselor (1 Position) Responsible to: Deputy CEO
Location: Dar es Salaam

Job purpose:
Ensure an effective service delivery to patients who are in Dar es Salaam for medical referral as well as support other Persons of Concern whenever they need medical services.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide medical counseling to Persons of Concern (PoC) referred to Dar es Salaam medical treatment.
• Attend to day to day medical needs of PoC under REDESO’s care
• Escort PoC referred in referral hospitals outside Dar es Salaam (within Tanzania) whenever the need arises.
• Prescribe mild drugs in accordance with the PoC condition where the situation does not require hospitalization
• Assist PoC to reach their referral hospitals and ensure they meet the appropriate Doctors
• Conduct monitoring visits so as to monitor the development in the condition of the PoC
• Keeping records of PoC and advise REDESO/UNHCR
• Be part of REDESO Senior Management Team: This calls for attending weekly SMT and planning meetings
• Write patients report as needed by REDESO/UNHCR
• Represent REDESO at relevant meetings.

Knowledge and Skills

• The incumbent will have to be a Medical Doctor.
• Must have experience at least 1 year.
• Ability to write precisely, clear medical report
• Ability to work under hectic and pressure
