Purpose: The Head of Human Capital originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, productivity and goal attainment.

Responsiblities:

    • Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.
    • Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, and labor relations.
  • Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
  • Develops human resources operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.

Knowledge and Skills:

    • Broad knowledge and experience in Human Resources including employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, performance management, employee relations, safety, and training and development.
    • Above average oral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members.
    • Demonstrated ability to serve and contribute to the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the company Board of Directors.

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, Organization Development or equivaelnt
  • Five plus years of progressive leadership experience in a senior Human Resources positions.

POSITION TITLE: HIGHWAY ENGINEER (1 POST)

Educational/Professional qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor Degree in civil or highway Engineering or equivalent from any recognized Higher Learning Institution/ colleges.
Must be registered as Professional Engineer with ERB
A postgraduate qualification in highway engineering and experience in contract ad­ministration under FIDIC/PPRA Condition of contract will be an added advantage.

Work Experience:

He/she must have a minimum of seven (07) years of specific experience related to road design and construction.
He/she must have served in a similar Capacity for at least two (2) projects for con­struction of bituminous roads of similar magnitude and complexity in the last seven (07) years.

In addition, he/she must have working experience of at least three (3) years in Sub
Sahara Counties.

Competence:

Must be Computer literate.
Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
Self-motivation, able to work under pressure outside working hours with minimum supervision.

His/her duties shall comprise road surveys, construction of pavement structure, measuring of quantities and management of site operations.

The accountant will be responsible for several major duties:

    • Document financial transactions by entering account information.

Accountant General Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant study.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA Holder) or ACCA Certified
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Conversant with the preparation of financial statements (company and consolidation)

Job Title: Communication Manager

The communication manager is responsible for conveying Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania’s (SAT) internal and external messages. He/she will communicate SAT’s activities and achievements to the organic movement and to other relevant stakeholders

The goal is to run the Communication Department for allowing the organisation to build and strengthen partnerships in Tanzania and outside the country. The objective is to present SAT as a vibrant organisation to stakeholders, interested parties and to the public, to share the success stories of organic farmers through our website, social media and our newsletter, to advertise SAT services, to support grant applications and to enable and foster communication among staff and SAT farmers. For being able to achieve this in an excellent way, the communication manager will be close to the Operations and Programme CEOs, so that he/she can feel the heartbeat of the organisation.

Fundraising

Organize for and welcome donors and other guests and introduce them to the organisation
