Job Profile
- Provides technical support and expertise in electrical maintenance. Maintains and improves electrical components, equipment or systems to improve or keep high reliability, overall equipment values and cost efficiency.
- Electrical maintenance operations. Carrying out electrical duties on surface and underground equipment, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis.
- Performing electrical maintenance duties as directed and as per maintenance plans, to a standard that maintains the integrity of the equipment and does not compromise safety.
- Perform fault finding and repairs, using electrical schematics.
- Analyze, prepare, plan and carry out improvement initiatives on machines and equipment.
- Contributes to projects as a technical expert and monitors the outcome.
- Preventive maintenance, perform corrective actions, supports planning and preparation, monitors outcome, documentation (outcome, root cause, time, improvements).
- Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Achievement of maintenance targets.
- Follow quality and cleanliness standards.
- Communication of operational status and any deviations.
- Safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements.
- Continuous improvements and development on a personal and operational level.
About you
- Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in surface and underground mining and heavy mobile equipment.
- Experience with Sandvik products will be an added advantage.
- Basic Mechanical and Hydraulic knowledge and the ability to read schematics.
- Must have the ability to work underground and be able to work rostered shifts.
