Job Summary
The principal part of the job is to be part of the team responsible for maintaining an
efficient and accurate Accounting functions.
Duties: –
- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Updates payroll records by entering all the necessary information including any changes in to the system for example bank loans/salary advance deductions.
- Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee pension contributions ,
PAYE
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- To ensure that the employees payroll files are up to date and accurate
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests to staff
- Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Skills & Experience:
- Computer literate is a must ( Ms Word, Excell, Access
- Knowledge of accounting packages will be an added advantage
- Degree /Advance Diploma in Accountancy/IT or any related subject
- Experience in Accounting related tasks
- An eye for details and to be able to work under minimum supervision and under a lot of pressure during month end period.
