1.1Tanzania Forestry Research Institute (TAFORI) is a Parastatal Organization under
the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism established by Act of Parliament No. 5 of
1980 with a broad mandate of conducting and coordinating forestry research in all
fundamental aspects of sustainable forest production and utilization in relation to the
conservation of natural forests and plant genetic resources.
