DRIVING CUM WALKING GUIDE POSITIONS (4 POSITIONS )
Mwiba Holdings Limited is a registered Tanzanian Company under Companies Ordinance(Cap. 212)and a leading Hospitality company with its Operations in Arusha, Meatu-Simiyu and Mara Regions.
We are currently looking for Driving Cum Walking Guide candidates (A positions) to be part of our team to support tour guiding matters and enhance Photographic Safari Experience to all companies’ clients. This is a field- based position with periodic movement to all Company’s camps and Lodges.
KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS;
- Plan tours and lead guests through points of interest while providing useful and interesting information.
- Hosts guests in line with the Company’s Standards which includes communicating with Lodge/Camp managers, reservation team and Head Guide to ensure the best possible experience for guests.
- Shows an exceptional appreciation and sensitivity to the environment at all times.
- Responsible for familiarizing and identifying unique selling points for any region/ establishment/ property in which you will be working.
- Be creative and responsible for planning alternate activities for guest/ groups in the event of cancellations, closures, or weather prohibitions on scheduled events.
- Responsible for the guest/ group that one is assigned to, one must be keen to determine their guest’s special needs eg: physical restrictions that should be considered.
- Conscientious maintenance and care of vehicles and related equipment. Translating and interpretation of relating tour guiding matters to the clients on behalf of the Company.
- Ensures the highest quality of game experience for the guests.
At all times, ensure that guest and staff safety is always a priority.
PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL REQUIREMENTS;
- Certificates in Tour Guide Operation.
- Must have walking guide experience and competent with a rifle.
- Five (5) years of working experience preferably in Five (5) Star/ high end properties.
- Knowledge on Northern Circuit (Tanzania) Flora and Fauna.
- Ability to effectively listen and communicate with the guests. English knowledge is a must, additional
- European languages are an added advantage.
- Ability to solve everyday problems and take charge in any emergencies occurred while on duty.
- Work closely with the team, flexible and eager to learn new things. In-depth knowledge of the guiding industry and Self-motivated and innovative including undergone of FGASA Accredited Programmes & Courses is preferential.
- Valid Driving License-Class.
