DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) ConductingpatrolactivitiesinandaroundthePark;

ii) Guardingvisitors,staffandtheirpropertiesandensuringtheirsecurity;

(iii) EnforcingNationalParkslaws,rulesandregulations;

(iv)RespondingtoemergencysituationssuchasrescueandinstitutingFirstAid;

(v)Participatinginmarking,clearingandprotectionofparkboundary

(vi) Reportingonmattersrelatingtothesecurity,safetyandgeneraloperationsoftherespectivesection tothe immediatesuperior;

(vii)Checking,searching,apprehendingand/orarrestingperson/personssuspectedofwildlifeoffences;

(viii)Ensuringsafetyofsentryarea andhandleallincidences;

(ix)Participatinginroutineandad–hocparades;

(x) Investigating matters relating to possible wildlife offences and give evidence before thecourtof law;

(xi)Participatinginjointprotectionactivitieswithotherwildlifeinstitutionsandlawenforcementagenciesin, aroundand cross–borders;

(xii)Participatingincollaborativepatroloperationswithadjacentcommunitiesinprotectingpropertiesand human life;

(xiii)Participatinginecologicalmonitoringactivitiessuchasanimalhealthmonitoring,animalcounts/census,weatherdatacollection,earlyburning,firesuppressionandGIS;and

(xiv)Performingotherrelateddutiesasmaybeassignedbythesuperior.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
CertificateofSecondaryEducationExamination(CSEE)withBasicorTechnicianCertificateinWildlife Managementor One-yearNationalServiceCertificate.
