We would like to advertise for the following position:
JOB TITLE:Â HEALTH, SAFETY AND MATERIAL OFFICERÂ (Positions 2)
Location: Dar es salaam
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The primary responsible for health and safety and control of project materials
REPORTS TO: Project Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In charge of health and safety measures in the organization
- Advising the management on health and safety issues and ensuring the company complies with Health and Safety regulation
- Monitoring and controlling safety and compliance in the organization as per the law and organization’s policy & procedures
- Carrying out safety inspections and internal audits and reporting to management with recommendations
- Ensure preventive measures, administrative control and personal protective equipment are implemented and used
- Investigate and report accidents and near misses
- Record keeping of all safety events, training and equipment’s
- Initiate disciplinary process to those who do not adhere to health and safety
- Take responsibility for all project materials and ensure Delivery of site material for Projects.
- Manage quality and risk plans of all project by ensuring they adhere to health and safety
- Provide completed documentation of projects materials, and health & safety activities
- Any other related duty as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Degree in environmental health and safety, Telecommunication or related field
- 2-3 years’ experience in Health and Safety and material management
- Working knowledge and experience of environment, health and safety
- Working knowledge of emergency and safety procedures
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations related to the environment and workplace health and safety
- NEBOSH HSE Training is an added advantage
