Then it became part of the University College of Dar Es Salaam in 1963, having more activities including research, Distance Education and training of adult educators. In 1975, IAE was established as an autonomous institution under the then Ministry of National Education, presently called Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MoEVT).<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3464335665\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nSince its establishment a number of developments have happened. We have gone through various transformations ranging from offering Basic Education to Higher Education\u00a0 (under NACTE accreditation), from Knowledge Based Education and Training (KBET) orientation to Competence Based Education and Training (CBET) programmes of study, and from fully using print media to relatively electronic technology in offering Open and Distance Learning (ODL) based programmes. However, pre-service applicants with relevant qualifications are also invited to apply. Application<br \/>\nforms are freely available at www.iae.ac.tz. The filled forms should be returned to the IAE\u2019s Headquarters through Post Office to the Rector, Institute of Adult Education, P.O.
