SHUWASA is charged with the overall responsibility of operations and management of portable clean water supply and sanitation services in Shinyanga Urban areas within the Municipality.<br \/>\nSHUWASA performs its duties under the pilot and supervision of the Executive Board of Directors with functions and responsibilities well stipulated in the Water Works Ordinance and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3464335665\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nShinyanga Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (SHUWASA) is hereby advertising to the public the applications invitations from dynamic, energetic, dedicated, qualified, motivated, experienced and performance driven male and female Tanzanians to fill the following vacant Posts: \u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.0 SALES ASSISTANT (4 Posts)<\/strong><br \/>\nThe successful candidate will be reporting to the Zone Supervisor and will be responsible to all matters related to billing, leakage controlling and meter management.<br \/>\nKey Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nTaking reasonable steps in collecting and controlling all revenue to the Authority.<br \/>\nEnsuring that the daily, weekly, monthly and annually collection targets are met.<br \/>\nReporting customer\u2019s water consumption trends as related to its surroundings<br \/>\nMaintaining meter reading records according to standard procedures.<br \/>\nDocumentation of all water customers within the Zone.<br \/>\nPerform any other duties related to the position as may be assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_ad jeg_ad_article jnews_content_inline_3_ads \">\n<div class=\"ads-wrapper align-center \"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Qualifications:<br \/>\n1. Form IV\/VI Leaver\/Diploma in Business Administration, with possession two years working experience in water sales operations and water meters managements. Possession of a Class A driving License will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n2. Experience in meter Reading and Leakage Control.<br \/>\n3. Age Limit \u2013 Not above 35<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.0 WATER TECHNICIANS (2 POSTS)<\/strong><br \/>\nThe successful candidate will be reporting to planning and Construction Engineer and will be responsible to all matters related to Water network construction.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- linkAD.2 --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3390598296\" data-ad-format=\"link\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nKey Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nRegularly updates the water network maps;<br \/>\nMaintain and updates customers particular s (customer service line, Account number, meter location, and other related water infrastructure);<br \/>\nUndertakes customer particular verification and mapping in accordance with the programs prepared by the Planning and Construction Engineer ;<br \/>\nCarries out surveys and prepares drawings\/sketches of existing and proposed water works;<br \/>\nUndertakes the preparation of construction drawing for the water network developments and modernization in accordance with the programs prepared by the Planning and Construction Engineer;<br \/>\nMaintains up-to-date data and information on the water network;<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<br \/>\n1. The holder of this position must have a Technician Certificate in Civil\/Water Resources Engineering with relevant experience and good command of AutoCAD and GIS Tools. Three (3) years working experience in water production and distribution works.<br \/>\n2. Candidate must have two years working experience in water and sewerage infrastructures.<br \/>\n3. Age Limit not above 40 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.0 PLUMBERS (7 Posts)<\/strong><br \/>\nThe successful candidates will work in Technical Department under water supply section where s\/he will be responsible for water distribution works.<\/p>\n<p>Key Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nDocumentation of all water customers within prescribed Zone.<br \/>\nRepair of all water leakages as they occur.<br \/>\nFinding out the causes of water loss and make necessary rectification.<br \/>\nEnsuring that new customers get water connections as scheduled.<br \/>\nMonitoring and reporting unauthorized water connections.<br \/>\nTimely reporting of water distribution faults.<\/p>\n<p>Timely reporting of sewerage pipe faults to responsible officers<br \/>\nWater disconnection for water debtors.<br \/>\nTimely re connections of water to debtors who settle their bills.<br \/>\nTimely attend to customer\u2019s complaints regarding lack of water.<br \/>\nFlushing regularly water distribution lines to remove stagnant water and other sediments.<br \/>\nEnsuring that water in the distribution system is not contaminated from customer service lines.<br \/>\nPerforming any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<br \/>\n1. Holder of Form IV\/VI with Level III (Grade Test I) Certificate in Water Resources\/ Sanitary\/Civil Engineering from recognized Technical College.<br \/>\nReceive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase order, processes and distribute documentations with purchase order reports, discrepancies on order received.<br \/>\nIssue items which require knowledge of specific areas of supply operation and good knowledge of stick characterized by susceptibility to toxicity, Fragility, rapid deterioration, ease damage<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.0 WATER LABORATORY TECHNICIAN GRADE III<\/strong><br \/>\nThe successful candidate will be reporting to the Lab Technician Supervisor and will be responsible to all matters related to Water Quality Management.<\/p>\n<p>Key Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nEnsure efficient and effective management of water sources (Boreholes\/Bulk Water and Dam)<br \/>\nEnsure that reporting and information requirements of monitoring the performance of water sources and water chlorination targets are established and properly utilized<br \/>\nFormulate long term plan and annual budget for water production and chlorination<br \/>\nRegularly determine resources requirement for proper production for adequate quality water<br \/>\nMonitors the cleaning and maintenance of the Dam, springs, boreholes and water tanks<\/p>\n<p>Proper record keeping of water production and chlorination<br \/>\nEstablishment of water dosing chemicals and dosing schedule<br \/>\nMonitors water les in the water storage tanks<br \/>\nMonitors the odour of theater<br \/>\nMaking sure that the water storage are free from pollution<br \/>\nMaking sure that only authorized persons are allowed in the water storage premises and pump house<br \/>\nPerform any other duties as may be assigned by the Laboratory Technician Supervisor.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<br \/>\n4. Holder of Form IV with FTC \/Diploma in Laboratory from a Government recognise technical college.<br \/>\n5.
