Also, the programme provides an opportunity to any Tanzanian with Certificate or<br \/>\nDiploma to translate the skills learned from their institutions into practical on the- job experience. The Internship Programme for the Financial Year 2018\/19 is open to eight (8)<br \/>\npositions as follows.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_ad jeg_ad_article jnews_content_inline_3_ads\">\n<div class=\"ads-wrapper align-center\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>===============<\/p>\n<p>1. SYSTEM LIBRARIAN<\/p>\n<p>(a) Entry Qualifications:<br \/>\nHolder of Diploma\/First degree in Library and Information Studies, with knowledge in Library<br \/>\nSoftware Systems, Library automation, electronic resources or other related fields from recognized Institution.<\/p>\n<p>(b) Duties:<br \/>\n(i) To provide effective management and control over Library computer hardware and software installations and operations.<\/p>\n<p>(ii) To establish long- term needs for information systems and plan strategies for developing systems.<br \/>\n(iii) To ensure the Library automation is compliant with library specific standards.<br \/>\n(iv)To undertake bibliographical searching<br \/>\n(v) To perform professional routines and supervisory duties.<br \/>\n(vi)To ensure proper shelves of books and periodicals.<br \/>\n(vii) To perform any other duties as may be assigned by one\u2019s reporting officer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>====================<\/p>\n<p>2. COMPUTER OPERATOR II<\/p>\n<p>(a) Entry Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Holder of Diploma or its equivalent in Computer Science\/Information Systems\/ Telecommunications\/ Electronics\/ Electrical Engineering or related computer studies from recognized institution.<\/p>\n<p>(b) Duties:<br \/>\n(i) To assist students in dissemination of run jobs;<br \/>\n(ii) To assist in software maintenance;<br \/>\n(iii) To assist in running small scale customer jobs;<br \/>\n(iv) To receive and schedule request for computer time from customers;<br \/>\n(v) To perform any other duties as may be assigned by one\u2019s reporting officer.<br \/>\nA Constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam<br \/>\nhe University of Dar es Salaam<\/p>\n<p>=============<\/p>\n<p>3. PLANNING OFFICER II<\/p>\n<p>(a) Entry Qualifications:<br \/>\nHolder of a first degree in any of the following: Economics, Statistics, Business Administration<br \/>\nor any other relevant field from a recognized institution.<\/p>\n<p>(b) Duties:<br \/>\n(i) To collect and systematically compile data on University activities, e.g.<br \/>\n(ii) To prepare profiles to bring together available statistics on the activities and resources of each Faculty \/Institute and Department;<br \/>\n(iii) To combine and analyse categories of data as basic of plan formulation;<br \/>\n(iv) To develop methodologies for data collection on various aspects of University operational programmes;<br \/>\n(v) To design and review data collection instruments;<br \/>\n(vi) To analyse and evaluate information gathered;<br \/>\n(vii) To prepare the budget and implementation reports on quarterly basis;<br \/>\n(viii) To perform other duties as assigned by one\u2019s reporting officer.<\/p>\n<p>=================<\/p>\n<p>4. SUPPLIES OFFICER II<\/p>\n<p>(a) Entry Qualifications:<br \/>\nHolder of Bachelor Degree in Procurement and Supplies or Professional III offered by PSPTB and must be registered by PSPTB as Graduate Procurement and Supplies Professional.<\/p>\n<p>(b) Duties:<br \/>\n(i) To prepare estimates of Schedule of Requirements;<br \/>\n(ii) To maintain details of warehouse records and equipment;<br \/>\n(iii) To prepare and recommend future requirements for storage, equipment, buildings, yard and layout;<br \/>\n(iv) To maintain appropriate stores records of purchases and issues;<br \/>\n(v) To prepare purchase requisitions\/orders upon approval by supervisor;<br \/>\n(vi) To receive and issue vouchers, delivery notes and invoices;<br \/>\n(vii) To make follow up on receiving, storing and distribution of all stock items;<br \/>\n(viii) To maintain a location index system in the store;<br \/>\n(ix) To supervise periodic stock checking in stores;<br \/>\n(x) To maintain a list or Register of all contract awarded;<br \/>\n(xi) To Maintain and update inventory of goods, supplies and;<br \/>\n(xii) To carry out other duties related to his\/her field as assigned by immediate supervisor.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- linkAD.2 --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3390598296\" data-ad-format=\"link\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n==============<\/p>\n<p>5. LABORATORY TECHNICIAN II (Physics)<\/p>\n<p>(a) Entry Qualifications:<br \/>\nHolder of Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or NTA level 6 or Ordinary Diploma in Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.<\/p>\n<p>(b) Duties:<br \/>\n(i) To assist in students\u2019 practical and projects;<br \/>\n(ii) To maintain laboratory\/ workshop facilities and equipment;<br \/>\n(iii) To train or orient newly recruited technicians \/ artisans;<br \/>\n(iv) To supervise junior technicians;<br \/>\n(v) To perform any other duties as may be assigned by one\u2019s reporting officer.<\/p>\n<p>===========<\/p>\n<p>6. CLINICAL OFFICER II<\/p>\n<p>(a) Entry Qualifications:<br \/>\nForm IV or VI certificate plus a Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Dentistry from recognized institution.<\/p>\n<p>(b) Duties:<br \/>\n(i) To assist in making proper diagnosis of disease;<br \/>\n(ii) To assist in prescribing treatments;<br \/>\n(iii) To treat wounds;<br \/>\n(iv) To give First Aid to MCH problems;<br \/>\n(v) To assist in giving anesthesia during operations;<br \/>\n(vi) To assist in attending general outpatient clinics;<br \/>\n(vii) To perform other duties as may be assigned by one\u2019s reporting officer.<\/p>\n<p>======================<\/p>\n<p>7. PHARMACIST II<\/p>\n<p>(a) Entry Qualifications:<br \/>\nHolder of Bachelor Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from recognized institution must have undergone Internship and registered with Tanganyika Medical Council.<\/p>\n<p>(b) Duties:<br \/>\n(i) To perform pharmaceutical production i.e. compounding\/manufacture under supervision<br \/>\nof senior staff;<br \/>\n(ii) To carry out dispensing duties;<br \/>\n(iii) To perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by one\u2019s reporting officer.<\/p>\n<p>===================<\/p>\n<p>8. ARTISAN II (CARPENTER)<\/p>\n<p>(a) Entry Qualifications:<br \/>\nForm IV\/V1 certificate plus Trade Test Grade III or its equivalent qualification from recognized Institution.<\/p>\n<p>(b) Duties:<br \/>\n(i) To perform specified craft jobs under close supervision;<br \/>\n(ii) To perform (technical) cleaning of the work environment;<br \/>\n(iii) To take care of tools and equipment;<br \/>\n(iv) To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by one\u2019s reporting officer.<\/p>\n<p>ELIGIBILITY AND CRITERIA<br \/>\ni. Qualification\/competency in the specific;<br \/>\nii. Should be a Tanzanian Citizen;<br \/>\niii. Should be a University Graduate or equivalent from recognized institution;<br \/>\niv. Should hold a Certificate or Diploma from recognized institution<br \/>\nv. Should submit a verified certificate or transcript;<br \/>\nvi.
