Heads the Mineral Exploration Section;<br \/>\nii. Undertake, supervise mineral exploration activities;<br \/>\niii. Conduct exploration on small scale miners\u2019 licensed areas with prospects<br \/>\nfor opening medium- scale mines on joint venture basis;<br \/>\nCarry out geological consultancy work;<br \/>\niv. Conduct research in nature of mineral occurrences;<br \/>\nv. Conduct open performance review and appraisal of subordinates and gives<br \/>\nfeedback;<br \/>\nvi. The Hospital is aimed to<br \/>\nbe a centre of excellence for medical services in terms of diagnosis and treatment<br \/>\nspecifically for urology, nuclear medicine, and Telemedicine and Endoscopic services.<br \/>\nFurthermore, the Institute will provide training and carry out research in various areas<br \/>\nof public health concern.<br \/>\nUpon completion, the Hospital will have 300 beds capacity and serve both in and out<br \/>\npatients from within and outside the country. The Hospital, when fully operational, will<br \/>\nprovide a broad spectrum of services including emergency medicine, Intensive Care<br \/>\nUnit (ICU), imaging (Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computerized Tomography<br \/>\nScan (CT Scan), Mammography, X-ray, Ultrasound, Gamma Camera, angiography,<br \/>\nPositron Emission Tomography (PET\/CT), Single Photon Emission Computerized<br \/>\nTomography (SPECT\/CT), Cath lab, Gamma Knife, Laboratory services<br \/>\n(Biochemistry, Virology, Microbiology) Non Invasive Surgical Services and<br \/>\nradiotherapy services.<\/p>\n<p>2.1 NURSING OFFICER II &#8211; 4 POSTS<br \/>\n2.1.1DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\ni. Take general nursing care of patients;<br \/>\nii. Counselling patients;<br \/>\niii. Educate patients on their health problems;<br \/>\niv. Ordering drugs from pharmacy and ward equipment from stores; and<br \/>\nv. Giving health education to patients and relatives.<\/p>\n<p>2.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE.<br \/>\nBachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized university or Institution, and<br \/>\nregistered by the Tanzania Nurses and Midwifery Council. Possession of a PhD will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n<p>2.2.3REMUNERATION<br \/>\nAttractive remuneration package in accordance with Government salary scale TGHS<br \/>\nG<\/p>\n<p>3.0 THE MWALIMU NYERERE MEMORIAL ACADEMY (MNMA)<br \/>\nThe Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy is initially a product of Kivukoni College. In<br \/>\nFebruary, 1958 the National Conference of TANU which was held in Tabora passed a<br \/>\nResolution to establish a college for adults in the lines of Ruskin College in Oxford.<br \/>\nThe College was to be a tool for spreading understanding of social, political and<br \/>\neconomic problems facing underdeveloped countries such as Tanganyika among<br \/>\npeople who were likely to become leaders in newly independent country but who did<br \/>\nnot have qualifications necessary to enter educational institutions. The school then transformed into the Faculty of<br \/>\nMedicine of the University of Dar es salaam that in 1991 was upgraded and became a<br \/>\ncollege\u2013the Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences (MUCHS).
