The Company\u2019s major activities include customs clearance, Transportation logistics, cross-continental relocations by air and sea, local and international office moving and customs consultancy services.<\/p>\n<p>Ruru is a member of Tanzania Freight Forwarders Association (TAFFA).<\/p>\n<p>The Accountant will be based in Dar es Salaam and will be heading the Company\u2019s Accounting Department.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3464335665\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n<b>Roles and responsibilities<\/b><br \/>\nThe Accountant will be responsible for all the accounting\/financial functions of the Company including but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Recording all entries of accounts such as general ledger (GL) accounts<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensuring all transactions\u2019 supporting documents are properly filed<br \/>\n\u2022 Preparing monthly management reports<br \/>\n\u2022 Processing monthly payroll and paying all statutory payments<br \/>\n\u2022 Preparing the company\u2019s annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)<br \/>\n\u2022 Preparing the company financial projections (budgets) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensuring all the company\u2019s tax affairs are properly handled<br \/>\n\u2022 Liaising with external parties on matters relevant to finance e.g. the Tanzania Revenue Authority, external auditors, tax advisors etc.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensuring compliance with the company\u2019s accounting manual<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensuring proper account reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis for account payables, receivables\/debtors, bank reconciliations etc<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensuring a proper and up to date fixed assets register is maintained<br \/>\n\u2022 Reconcile monthly revenue per GL against monthly revenue per VAT return<br \/>\n\u2022 Other duties as may be assigned by the directors<\/p>\n<p><b>Qualification requirements<\/b><br \/>\nThe Applicant should have a degree in accounting or its equivalent and at least three (3) years of relevant working experience. In addition the applicant should have the ability to work independently with little or without supervision, should be hard working and a person of high integrity.
