A 4 mini-grids have been commissioned so far connecting over 500 customers both households and small businesses. PowerCorner is currently selecting additional villages for electrification and looking for a Local Electrical Technician who will based in Masasi \u2013 Mtwara to assist Southern cluster team.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3464335665\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>Roles and Responsibilities<br \/>\nThe candidate will be responsible for all the technical issues that will be raised within the grid after installation such as:<br \/>\n\u2022 Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution system (like internal and external wiring connections) and associated electrical equipment.<br \/>\n\u2022 Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices<br \/>\n\u2022 Inspect and test electrical components, such as smart meters and circuit breakers and do replacement accordingly when required.<br \/>\n\u2022 Replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools<br \/>\n\u2022 Ordering, receiving of materials, completing work orders and recording materials utilized on jobs<br \/>\n\u2022 Connection to new customers by installing meters, Poles and internal wirering.<br \/>\n\u2022 Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer\u2019s installation manuals to complete assigned projects<br \/>\n\u2022 Record all technical project delays that might be caused by developer or contractor for records<br \/>\n\u2022 Follow state and local building regulations based on the current National Electric Code<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintain all electrical generation unit such as cleaning the PV\/ Batteries installation, Generator maintenance and furthermore<br \/>\n\u2022 Installing electrical appliances to customers to make sure they match grid requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Skills and competences<br \/>\n\u2022 Passionate about rural electrification<br \/>\n\u2022 Structured and attention to detail<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and oral in English)<br \/>\n\u2022 Optimistic team player<br \/>\n\u2022 A commitment to high standards of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality<br \/>\n\u2022 Flexible: must be willing to travel on short notice to meet the client\u2019s needs<br \/>\n\u2022 In line with PowerCorner values: Empowerment, Heshima, Open-mindedness and Determination<\/p>\n<p>Basic Qualification:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 At least Diploma holder with Technical Certificate from VETA (A MUST)<br \/>\n\u2022 2+ Years\u2019 experience in the Electrical field.<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent hand Eye coordination<br \/>\n\u2022 Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of Electrical systems and equipment<br \/>\n\u2022 Minimum 1 year of working experience in renewable energy.<\/p>\n<p>How to Apply:<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- linkAD.2 --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"3390598296\" data-ad-format=\"link\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>If you think your profile fits with the descriptions above and your personal ambition matches with the challenges outlined, we strongly invite you to submit your application by 19th of January 2018.
