Apart from this,<br \/>\nit is also responsible in conducting Axle Load Control Operations using weighbridges.<\/p>\n<p>As a measure to strengthen capacity of discharging TANROADS\u2019 functions effectively, the<br \/>\nRegional Manager, TANROADS Kilimanjaro Region seeks to recruit qualified and competent<br \/>\nTanzanian Citizens to fill the vacancies at its Himo Weighbridge Station and Regional Office<br \/>\nand the mobile weigh scale.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill the various<br \/>\nvacancies in the region on Contract terms (Renewable subject to satisfactory performance)<br \/>\nTERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE:<br \/>\nAppointment will be on Contract Terms of two years, renewable subject to satisfactory<br \/>\nperformance.<\/p>\n<p>1. POSITION TITLE: SHIFT IN CHARGE \u2013 (1 VACANCY)<br \/>\nSCOPE OF POSITION:<br \/>\nSuccessful applicants must be ready to work on \u201cshift\u201d basis including Weekends and<br \/>\nPublic Holidays. They should be willing to work for considerable lengths of time away<br \/>\nfrom their permanent stations with minimum supervision.<\/p>\n<p>POSITION RELATIONSHIP:<br \/>\nThe Position Holder shall report to the Head of Weighbridge Unit.<br \/>\nA: RESPONSIBILITY:<br \/>\n1. Enforcement of Road Traffic Axle Load Control by the use of Weighbridge scale<br \/>\ndevices<br \/>\n2. Overall Supervision of shift activities<\/p>\n<p>B: DUTIES<br \/>\nCarrying out activities as described in the Roads Traffic (maximum Weigh of Vehicles)<br \/>\nRegulations, 2001. The activities include the following:<br \/>\n1. Weigh Motor Vehicles of Gross vehicle Weight (GVW) on our Public Roads.<br \/>\n2. If the vehicle is found overloaded the Operator should impose road damage fee on<br \/>\nthe spot.<br \/>\n3. Measure physical dimension of motor vehicles or any load being carried on the motor<br \/>\nvehicle, and in case of non-compliance with vehicle dimension limits, the transporters<br \/>\nshould be caused to seek for a special permit.<br \/>\n4. For trucks carrying abnormal loads with special permits, the Weighbridge Operator<br \/>\nshall ascertain compliance to the permit. Any discrepancy should be reported to the<br \/>\nWeighbridge in charge for appropriate action.<br \/>\n5. Record all necessary particulars regarding the motor vehicle being weighed.<\/p>\n<p>C: OTHERS:<br \/>\n6. Observe good customers care, dignity and integrity<br \/>\n7. Report all matters to the Regional Manager<br \/>\n8. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Regional Manager<\/p>\n<p>KEY QUALIFICATIONS:<br \/>\n1. Academic Qualification:<br \/>\nHolder of a Degree in Engineering related field from recognized Higher Learning<br \/>\nInstitution\/Colleges. Higher qualifications will have an added advantage.<br \/>\n2. Age: Not above 40 and not below 35 years of age.<br \/>\n3. Must be Computer literate (at least Advanced Certificate in Computer Applications)<br \/>\n4. Must be fluent in English and Kiswahili languages<br \/>\n5. Must be Tanzanian Citizen<\/p>\n<p>2. POSITION TITLE:\u00a0 \u2013 DRIVER (3 VACANCIES)<\/p>\n<p>A. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br \/>\nThe holder of this post who reports to Shift In-charge will be responsible for carrying out<br \/>\nactivities as described in the Road Traffic (maximum Weigh of Vehicles) Regulations,<br \/>\n2001 which include the following;<\/p>\n<p>1. Driving motor vehicles in urban and remote areas;<br \/>\n2. Maintaining the vehicle logbook and all accident records pertaining to the assigned<br \/>\nvehicle;<br \/>\n3. Keeping repairs or maintenance needs of the vehicle to the shift In-charge timely;<br \/>\n4. Reporting repairs or maintenance needs of the vehicle to the shift In-charge timely;<br \/>\n5. Observing good customer care, dignity and integrity;<br \/>\n6. Performing such other related duties as may be assigned by the Shift In-charge.<\/p>\n<p>B. KEY QUALIFICATIONS:<br \/>\n1. Holder of a Certificate of Secondary Education Exam. (CSEE)<br \/>\n2. Holder of valid Class C equivalent driving license;<br \/>\n3. Having driving experience of at least five years;<br \/>\n4. Must be fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English language;<br \/>\n5. Must be a Tanzanian Citizen;<br \/>\n6. Not above 35 years of age.<\/p>\n<p>3. POSITION TITLE: SECURITY GUARD (2 VACANCIES)<br \/>\nA. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br \/>\n1. Guarding the premises and properties of the Agency<br \/>\n2. Watch for and report irregularities or hazards<br \/>\n3. Control of vehicles<br \/>\n4. Apprehends anyone who threatens loss, damage, safety or security to agency<br \/>\nproperty and immediately informs the management and\/or the police;<br \/>\n5. Assists in providing evidence in criminal cases involving theft or damage of<br \/>\nAgency property.<br \/>\n6. Any other duty assigned by office supervisor.<\/p>\n<p>B. KEY QUALIFICATIONS:<br \/>\n1. Minimum Certificate of Secondary Education Exam. (CSEE)<br \/>\n2. Must have attended people\u2019s militia course (Mgambo)<br \/>\n3.
