TATC\u2019s mission is to develop a reputable capacity\u201d for automotive engineering by conducting research and innovation, technology transfer and quality assurance services.<\/div>\n<div>TATC is wholly owned by the Government of the United republic of Tanzania through the Ministry of Defense and National Service (MoDNS).<\/div>\n<div>TATC seeks to recruit, intelligent and result-oriented Tanzanians with high integrity, to fill the following vacancies:-<\/div>\n<div><b>SUPPLIES CLERK II \u2013 1 POST<\/b><br \/>\nA. Reports to: Supplies Officer<\/div>\n<div>B. Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n(i) Continuous updating of the stores ledgers.<br \/>\n(ii) Perpetual invertorization of stocks.<br \/>\n(iii) Participation in periodic i.e Semiannual\/annual stock takings.<br \/>\n(iv) Marshalling of goods\u2019 to respective storage places or customers.<\/div>\n<div>C. Qualifications<br \/>\nForm VI certificate with NBMM Pre-Foundation stage I. Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n(i) Solicits new job orders\/ customers to achieve the assigned sales quota.<br \/>\n(ii) Receives customers and processing their needs\/ orders.<br \/>\n(iii) Listens to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale.<br \/>\n(iv) Maintains and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and e-mails.<br \/>\n(v) Arranges displaying goods and information in TATC\u2019s shops.<br \/>\n(vi) Follow up customer\u2019s complaints and advice accordingly.<br \/>\n(vii) Prepares monthly and quarterly reports on sales<\/div>\n<div>C. Qualifications<br \/>\nA holder of Diploma in Business Administration- Marketing.<\/div>\n<div><b>PERSONAL SECRETARY III-2 POSTS<\/b><br \/>\nA. Reports to: Administrative Officer<\/div>\n<div>B. Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n(i) Types letters, minutes, circulars and other documents required for the day to day running of the Centre\u2019s affairs.<br \/>\n(ii) Receives telephone calls and book outgoing telephones as required.<br \/>\n(iii) Handles incoming mails with personal attention of the officer and ensure that mails and any related correspondences are well managed and delivered personally to the intended officer.<br \/>\n(iv) Follows up outstanding correspondences.<br \/>\n(v) Receives visitors, ascertain the nature of their business and relay information to the boss concerned.<br \/>\n(vi) Answers routine correspondence such as acknowledgements and sending out reminders.<br \/>\n(vii) Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.<\/div>\n<div>C. Qualifications<br \/>\nForm IV certificate ,CSEE) or Form VI certificate (ACSEE) with passes in English and Kiswahili plus Basic Technician Certificate in Secretarial Studies from a recognized Institution with a typing speed of 80 w.p.m; manuscript and tabulation stage III, Secretarial duties and office practice stage II, English or Kiswahili shorthand speed of 80 w.p.m. Passes of 100\/120 will be added advantage. Computer operating Certificate in Microsoft Office Windows Platform is essential.<\/div>\n<div><b>FOUNDRYMAN II \u2013 1 POST<\/b><br \/>\nA. Reports to: Workshop Foreman<\/div>\n<div>B. Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n(i) Operates melting furnace and charge preparation.<br \/>\n(ii) Operates shot blasting machine and other fettling duties.<br \/>\n(iii) Instructs Foundry man of lower grade in foundry shop practice.<br \/>\n(iv) Prepares sand, mould and core and should be able to operates sand<br \/>\n(v) preparation machine\/equipments<\/div>\n<div>C. Qualifications<br \/>\nForm IV education with Trade Test grade I, plus six (6) years working experience in that grade in a reputable foundry. Knowledge in melting point temperatures and color code will be an added advantage.<\/div>\n<div><b>FITTER TURNER II \u2013 2 POSTS<\/b><br \/>\nA. Report to: Workshop Foreman Machineshop<\/div>\n<div>B. Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n(i) Operates various machine tools and equipment\u2019s in the workshop such as gear hobber, bevel gear generator, gear shaper etc.<br \/>\n(ii) Operates sophisticated machine tools such as CNC machines under supervision.<br \/>\n(iii) Design and supervises the manufacture of simple fixtures, jigs and tools for the job in hand.<br \/>\n(iv) Performs simple calculations required for setting up gear machines, differential indexing head, screw cutting taper turning, etc<\/div>\n<div>C. Qualifications<br \/>\nForm IV education with Trade Test Grade I in Fitter\/ Turner plus six (6) years of working experience as Fitter\/Turner in a reputable Organization.<\/div>\n<div><b>ASSISTANT WELDER II \u2013 1 POST<\/b><\/div>\n<div>A.Report to: Workshop Foreman Fabrication<\/div>\n<div>B. Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n(i) Fabricates and welds special materials such as armored plates, stainless steel aluminum and copper<br \/>\n(ii) To inspect and recognize defects\u2019 on work done by junior welders.<br \/>\n(iii) To identify workshop machines malfunctions and reports to Foreman.<br \/>\n(iv) Prepares and layout work pieces which requires special attention and accuracy before welding for junior welders.<\/div>\n<div>C. Qualifications<br \/>\nForm IV education with Trade Test Grade II and working experience of at least three (3) years in a reputable organization. Knowledge of welding nonferrous materials like aluminum is an added advantage.<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li><b>ACCOUNTS TECHNICIAN II- 1POST<\/b><br \/>\nA. Report to: Senior Accountant<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div>B. Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n(i) Preparation of payment vouchers, journal vouchers, cheques, receipts and any other source of documents.<br \/>\n(ii) Assist in maintaining proper books of accounts and keeping off all records pertaining to income and expenditure.<br \/>\n(iii) Paty cash management and ensuring reimbursement is timely and accurately done.<br \/>\n(iv) Assisting on cash banking and cash office duties.<br \/>\n(v) Safe keep accounting documents and registers<br \/>\n(vi) Assist in all financial and accounting operations of the accounts department.<br \/>\n(vii) Performs any other official duties as assigned by supervisors.<\/div>\n<div>C. Qualifications<br \/>\nForm IV education with NBAA Accounting Technician Certificate Level II (ATEC II) plus at least three (3) years working experience in a reputable firm.<\/div>\n<div>NB: GENERAL CONDITIONS<br \/>\ni.
