The Pestalozzi Children\u2019s Foundation (PCF) is a Swiss non-profit organisation which
\n<\/a>promotes peaceful cohabitation worldwide by empowering the most marginalised children and adolescents. The Foundation seeks to provide children and youth with access to holistic quality education and to strengthen their intercultural competencies. The Pestalozzi Children\u2019s Village in Trogen (Appenzell Outer-Rhodes) is at the heart of the Foundation and its activities in Switzerland and in twelve countries. PCF Tanzania is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of
\nEducation Officer (100%)<\/b>
\nThe post is based in Dar Es Salaam and opened to Tanzania Nationals only.
\nThis position will report to the Country Representative and will be responsible for educational analyses, capacity development and strategic support to the country programme. The successful candidate will play a technical role in supporting partners in planning, implementing and monitor education projects in collaboration with schools communities as well as identifying new projects and conduct partners assessment .<\/p>\n

We are looking for a motivated, reliable and result-oriented individual, committed to learn from peers, willing to travel in the field (50%) and with excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit.<\/p>\n

Starting date: February 2018 or as per agreement

\n<\/b>Main Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n

Analyses of the education sector and support to the strategic development of the Country Programme.
\nKnowledge sharing and trainings to Operational Partners and other stakeholders on educational contents and processes.
\nMonitoring and reporting on the results of the Operational Partners and the Country Programme.

Required Qualifications<\/b>
\nProfessional qualifications
\n\u2022 Master\u2019s Degree in Education or related fields with a minimum of five years of experiences in project management across a range of project types in education and child\u2019s right;
\n\u2022 Extensive knowledge of the country\u2019s education system, policies and strategies;
\n\u2022 Extensive experience in Training of Trainers in child-centered approach and curriculum development;
\n\u2022 Experience in providing technical guidance on education and undertaking in-depth monitoring and evaluation analysis;
\n\u2022 Knowledge in Child Rights, Child Protection Policies and Intercultural Education is an asset;
\n\u2022 Proven track record of coordinating projects involving different stakeholders, such as government officials, NGOs and international organisations;
\n\u2022 Demonstrated understanding of programme development with practical experiences in Project Cycle Management and Result Based Management;
\n\u2022 Results-oriented team player with very good analytical skills and problem-solving attitude;
\n\u2022 Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and local languages;
\n\u2022 Very good knowledge in PC Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
\n

\n\u2022 Reliable, accurate and systematic;
\n\u2022 Goal-oriented, independent, committed, innovative and motivated;
