Scholars participate in the King Global Leadership Program (KGLP), which includes\u00a0workshops, lectures, projects, and experiences\u00a0that strengthen transformational leadership capabilities. Through KGLP, scholars collaborate and prepare to address important challenges and opportunities facing the world, such as climate change, healthcare, government and policy, and education.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Knight-Hennessy Scholars has no restrictions based on age, college or university, field of study, or career aspiration. We encourage citizens and residents of all countries to apply.\u00a0 We do not require applicants to seek endorsements from colleges, universities, or other institutions.<\/p>\n<p>There are two baseline eligibility requirements.<\/p>\n<h2>Requirement 1: Admission to Stanford<\/h2>\n<p>First, in addition to applying to Knight-Hennessy Scholars (KHS), you must apply to, be accepted by, and enroll in a full-time Stanford graduate degree program including, but not limited to, DMA, JD, MA, MBA, MD, MFA, MPP, MS, or PhD programs.\u00a0 You must meet at least\u00a0<strong>one<\/strong>\u00a0of the following four conditions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You are applying separately but concurrently to KHS and a full-time Stanford graduate degree program such that you will start both in the same year.<\/li>\n<li>You have already been offered and deferred admission to a full-time Stanford graduate degree program, and will apply to KHS such that you will start both in the same year.<\/li>\n<li>You are a current Stanford graduate student who will apply to add a second full-time Stanford graduate degree program, such that you will start both KHS and the new program in the same year.<\/li>\n<li>You are a current Stanford PhD student in your first year of enrollment, and will apply to KHS such that you will start KHS in your second year of PhD enrollment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>There are no quotas by discipline or program. Note that we will give priority consideration to those who will spend at least two years studying at Stanford.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that a small number of Stanford graduate degree programs are not eligible for Knight-Hennessy Scholars:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants to the\u00a0<a class=\"su-link su-link--external\" href=\"https:\/\/gradadmissions.stanford.edu\/programs\/hcp\" data-extlink=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Honors Cooperative Program<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Applicants to the\u00a0<a class=\"su-link su-link--external\" href=\"https:\/\/gradadmissions.stanford.edu\/programs\/master-liberal-arts\" data-extlink=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Master of Liberal Arts<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Applicants to the<a class=\"su-link su-link--external\" href=\"https:\/\/law.stanford.edu\/education\/degrees\/advanced-degree-programs\/doctor-of-science-of-law-jsd\/\" data-extlink=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0Doctor of Science of Law (JSD<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Current Stanford students applying for coterminal graduate study<\/li>\n<li>Current Stanford PhD students adding an MA or MS degree in their current discipline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Requirement 2: Undergraduate Degree Date<\/h2>\n<p>Second, you must have earned, in January 2017\u00a0or later, a U.S. bachelor\u2019s degree or its equivalent from a college or university of recognized standing.<\/p>\n<div class=\"tablesaw-bar tablesaw-mode-stack\"><\/div>\n<table id=\"tablesaw-2961\" class=\"tablesaw tablesaw-stack\" data-tablesaw-mode=\"stack\" data-tablesaw-minimap=\"\">\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th role=\"columnheader\" scope=\"col\" data-tablesaw-priority=\"persist\">To apply to join the cohort in:<\/th>\n<th role=\"columnheader\" scope=\"col\">You must have earned your first bachelor&#8217;s degree by:<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><span class=\"tablesaw-cell-content\">2024<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span class=\"tablesaw-cell-content\">January 2017\u00a0or later<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>For applicants who served in the military after their undergraduate studies, we extend the eligibility window by two years in acknowledgement of longer service commitments; you must have earned your degree in January 2015 or later to enroll in 2024. Current college students are eligible if you will earn your first degree by September 2024. Within the eligibility window, we do not give preference based on recency of the degree.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE:\u00a0 application for 2023 is already CLOSED!!
