Supported by hundreds of alumni and friends, the LSHTM Fund provides scholarships for the next generation of global health leaders. This year\u2019s two scholarships are intended to support excellent candidates who would be unable to take up a place of study without this financial support.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility criteria<\/h3>\n<p>This scholarship is open to applicants intending to study on a one-year, full-time, London-based MSc programme at the London School of Hygiene &amp; Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in 2023-24.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be nationals of, and resident in,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/data.worldbank.org\/income-level\/low-and-middle-income\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">low to middle income countries<\/a>\u00a0(as defined by the World Bank);<\/li>\n<li>intend to return to a low to middle income country on completion of their MSc year at LSHTM;<\/li>\n<li>confirm in writing that they would not otherwise be able to pay for the proposed programme of study;<\/li>\n<li>meet LSHTM\u2019s minimum\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lshtm.ac.uk\/study\/frequently-asked-questions\/english-requirements-faqs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">English language requirements<\/a>\u00a0(as required by LSHTM\u2019s Admissions system);<\/li>\n<li>a first or upper second-class honours undergraduate degree of a UK university, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard;<\/li>\n<li>hold an offer of admission for 2023-24 for one of LSHTM\u2019s 19 London-based (intensive) MSc programmes of study.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Award Details<\/strong><br \/>\nTwo LSHTM Fund Scholarships are available for 2023-24. The scholarship award comprises<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2023-24 tuition fees (at the overseas fee rate), including any mandatory field trip fees, and<\/li>\n<li>a tax-free stipend (living allowance) of GBP 19,500.00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to apply<\/h3>\n<p>The application process has two steps. To be considered for the funding, applicants must meet all eligibility criteria and complete both steps outlined below by the scholarship\u00a0<strong>deadline of<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>23:59 (GMT) on Wednesday 1 March 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:\u00a0<\/strong>Submit an application for 2023-24 for an eligible\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lshtm.ac.uk\/study\/courses\/masters-degrees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">MSc programme<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>of study, by following the instructions under the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lshtm.ac.uk\/study\/applications\/applying-intensive-masters-degree\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">\u2018How to Apply\u2019<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>tab on the relevant programme of study page. Applicants should ensure that all necessary supplementary admissions documents (including references) are submitted by the scholarship deadline.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:\u00a0<\/strong>Submit an\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/scholarship.lshtm.ac.uk\/#\/get-started\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">online scholarships application<\/a>,<\/strong> selecting this scholarship option \u20182023-24 LSHTM Fund Scholarship\u2019 from the drop-down menu. A completed\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lshtm.ac.uk\/media\/66636\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Supplementary Questions Form<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>for this scholarship must be uploaded as part of this application.
