The position will also be responsible for all aspects of donor reporting based on information gathered from programme sections and field offices, monitoring the schedule of reports, based on information consolidated by the Programme Officers\/ Specialists particularly as they relate to donor relations, ensures the timely preparation and dissemination of other mandatory and special reports, as well as briefing documents and corporate publications relating to programme activities in support of the UNICEF.He\/She will provide direct interface between PEP, and Brussels with regards to donor relations and follow up action as well as be focal point for all donor relations with National Committees and bilateral donors<\/p>\n<p><strong>How can you make a difference?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Donor relations and reporting activities<\/strong><br \/>\nEnhance positive relationships with donor groups through timely and accurate reporting and monitoring of donor intere9ts and information needs. This includes gathering of information, consolidation, editing and production of all required reports on contributions to the Country Programme.<br \/>\nCollaborate with other staff to compile, produce and disseminate mandatory UNICEF reports, including the Annual Report<br \/>\nDevelopment of the resource mobilization strategy and technical guidance\/ quality control in proposal preparation and follow up, as well as compilation of information, editing and layout, support donor and Natcom missions through the preparation of briefing documents for advocacy or information sharing.<br \/>\nActively participate and contribute to the UNCT fundraising and reporting tasks within the framework of \u201cDelivering as One\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Harmonization and Standardization of Reporting and Monitoring Mechanism<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\">\n<p>Assess the existing UNICEF systems for informationcollection, storage, and management \u2014 which eventually feed into donor reporting.<\/p>\n<p>Roll out monitoring and reporting mechanisms, ensuring adequate training, troubleshooting and revision of mechanisms as required<\/p>\n<p>Propose solutions for harmonization and standardization of reporting and monitoring mechanisms in order to limit parallel reporting and enhance the quality of data collection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Promoting Compliance, Utilization and Control Methodologies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Build systems to promote compliance with terms of specified grants and agreements. This will involve training in donor conditions and donor friendly inputs in Vision.<\/p>\n<p>Work with, train and plan regular meetings with PAS in the Country Office structure to ensure awareness of utilization and reporting requirements, familiarization with contribution process and where to find key information<\/p>\n<p><strong>To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An advanced university degree (Master\u2019s or higher) in Political Science, Social Studies, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations; or equivalent professional work experience in the communication area combined with advanced university degree in a related discipline. Knowledge of quantitative methods and Information Management an asset.<br \/>\nA minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in funds management, reporting or information management; two (2) years of which should be in developing countries.<br \/>\nDeveloping country work experience and\/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.<br \/>\nFluency in English is required.
