KLICL intends to hire a qualified, energetic, dynamic and proactive Tanzanian to fill in the following vacant position:<\/div>\n<div class=\"quads-location quads-ad2\">\n<strong>POSITION: HEAD OF PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES (1 Position)<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"quads-location quads-ad2\"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE<\/strong><br \/>\nHolder of Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Materials Management or Procurement and Supplies Management, or Supply Chain Management from a recognized Higher Learning<br \/>\nInstitution. The candidate must be registered by the Procurement and Supplies Professional and Technician Board (PSPTB); a holder of CPSP with at least 5 years\u2019 work experience in a similar\/related position. Demonstrates strong leadership and managerial competencies, including integrity, accountability, communication skills, computer skills, commitment to teamwork and excellence in selecting, mentoring, coaching, supervising, motivating and training procurement staff.<script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2021 --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"9068680313\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><br \/>\ni. Heads the Procurement and Supplies Unit<a href=\"httpsss:\/\/ajiraportaltz.com\/2021\/08\/08\/all-universities-selection-2021-22-academic-year\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">,<\/a> coordinates day-to-day procurement operations;<br \/>\nii. Provides high-level technical and administrative guidance on matters related to Procurement and Supplies.<br \/>\niii. Manage and review documents for procurement of all supplies, equipment and services for the company and ensures compliance to Procurement policies procedures, and applicable regulations;<br \/>\niv. Identify opportunities for cost savings; Provides procurement research, guidance and direction by presenting available procurement options<br \/>\nv. Develop and implement purchase and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures;<br \/>\nvi. Prepares and implements CLICL\u2019s Annual Procurement Plan.<br \/>\nvii. Serves as Secretary to KLICL\u2019s Tender Board, implements Tender Board\u2019s decisions<br \/>\nviii. Prepares Tender Board minutes and maintains all procurement records, disposal and related activities;<br \/>\nix. Prepares tender documents for Bidders, and advertisements as per procedure<br \/>\nx. Custodian of procurement documents; responsible for ensuring that records are maintained and the entire procurement process is documented from the beginning to the end.<br \/>\nxi. Inspects the quality of procured items; ensures that suppliers deliver materials and services based on the agreed standards of price, time, quantity and quality;<br \/>\nxii. Ensures that all invoices are audited for compliance with contract terms and supervises contract closeouts;<br \/>\nxiii. Prepares the Unit\u2019s Monthly and Quarterly reports, presents to Management and the Board of Directors;<br \/>\nxiv.
