Its mission is to contribute to sub-Saharan Africa\u2019s expanding role in global development through increasing access to higher education abroad. We support orphaned students who are committed to returning home and initiating change, by providing access to full financial support to study at a university abroad (equivalent to an undergraduate degree). Ashinaga support covers tuition, accommodation, travel costs, and other necessary fees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>SEE ALSO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"httpss:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/wizara-ya-elimu-fully-funded-ireland-africa-fellows-scholarship-programme-2022-2023\/\">WIZARA YA ELIMU: FULLY FUNDED IRELAND-AFRICA FELLOWS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME 2022\/2023<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"httpss:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/fully-funded-university-of-the-witwatersrands-who-tdr-2022-postgraduate-training-scholarships-in-implementation-science\/\">Fully Funded University of the Witwatersrand\u2019s WHO\/TDR 2022 Postgraduate Training Scholarships in Implementation Science<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Applicants must:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have lost one or both parents.<br \/>\nHave completed\u202fsecondary school\u202fand\u202freceived the results of their\u202fnational\u202fsecondary\u202fschool examination (technical and vocational degrees not accepted) within the last two years (any date after 2nd August 2019, including all of 2020\u202fand 2021) or will have completed secondary school and received final exam results\u202fbefore February 28th<a href=\"httpss:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/category\/tzjobs\/\">,<\/a> 2022.<br \/>\nBe\u00a0born after 1st September 1999.<br \/>\nNot have the means to attend university\u202fabroad\u202fwithout external financial support.<br \/>\nBe\u00a0proficient in English,\u202fFrench\u202for Portuguese.<br \/>\nBe\u00a0regularly ranked in the top 10% of their class during their last 2 or 3 years of secondary school.<br \/>\nBe\u00a0able to\u202fparticipate in the two\u202fAshinaga\u202fpreparatory programs, over the course of one year, before attending university.<br \/>\nBe\u00a0committed to return home, or to Sub-Saharan Africa, and contribute to society in Sub-Saharan Africa after graduating from university.<br \/>\nHave no dependents who could interfere with academic progress.<br \/>\nHave a good enough health condition to be able to study abroad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2021 --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"9068680313\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n<strong>Application Procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a list of the documents you will need to submit as part of your application:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applicant \u202fRegistration\u202f\u202f<\/strong><br \/>\nPhoto or scan of\u202fat least one\u202fof the following\u202fdocuments;\u202fPassport<a href=\"httpss:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\">,<\/a> National ID Card or Birth Certificate<br \/>\nPhoto or scan of your most recent High School Term Report\/Transcript<br \/>\nPhoto or scan of your final High School Examination Results Certificate (if\u202fapplicable)**<\/p>\n<p>**For students receiving their examination results\u202fin February 2022,\u202fwe will ask you to send your examination certificate\u202fas soon as possible after you have received it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Full Application\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nPassport style photograph<br \/>\nPassport or National ID Card<br \/>\nBirth certificate of applicant.<br \/>\nDeath certificate of deceased parent(s), including the deceased parent\u2019s name, or alternative official documentation proving death of parent(s) or orphan status.<br \/>\nAll term reports \/ secondary school transcripts from the last 2 years.<br \/>\nFinal secondary school examination certificate, showing grades in each subject*<br \/>\nA letter of recommendation from a principal or\u202fschoolteacher. This should be inclusive of their email address, phone number and must contain information about your\u00a0performance and character whilst at secondary school. During this assessment, Ashinaga conducts individual interviews and sets an examination to better understand students\u2019 academic abilities and career goals in Sub-Saharan Africa. Students must bring all original academic documents and identification documents to the interview.
