To perform specialized laboratory tests;<\/p>\n<p>ii. To implement the quality management system;<\/p>\n<p>iii. To train junior members of staff on matters related to Laboratory tests;<\/p>\n<p>iv. To assist quantification of requirements of the section;<\/p>\n<p>v. To comply with established quality management system and safety procedures;<\/p>\n<p>vi. To prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports;<\/p>\n<p>vii. To maintain statistics of Lab tests and keeps records and documents thereof;<\/p>\n<p>viii. To plan and participate in all researches conducted in the laboratory;<\/p>\n<p>ix. To assist in all technical duties requiring a higher degree of planning and design competence in the areas of Laboratory\u2019s practical\/projects;<\/p>\n<p>x. To assist NHL in research and development and consultancy activities;<\/p>\n<p>xi. To comply with established quality management system and safety procedures;<\/p>\n<p>xii. To participate in operational research for both clinical and public health services;<\/p>\n<p>xiii. To plan and supervise maintenance of laboratory facilities;<\/p>\n<p>xiv. To provide guidance to technicians and Laboratory Assistants in their daily activities; and<\/p>\n<p>xv. To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/b><\/p>\n<p>i. Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory from recognized institution;<\/p>\n<p>ii. Must be registered under Health Laboratory Practitioners Council;<\/p>\n<p>iii. Good Computer Skills (Microsoft packages); and<\/p>\n<p>iv. To rreceive, extract and record samples for laboratory examination;<\/p>\n<p>ii. To prepare laboratory equipment and chemical tests and examinations;<\/p>\n<p>iii. To inspect and store laboratory reagents, equipment and chemicals;<\/p>\n<p>iv. To maintain a list of laboratory equipment in the section;<\/p>\n<p>v. To perform laboratory examination of samples and recording results under supervision;<\/p>\n<p>vi. To perform parasitological tests and other specialized tests in the department;<\/p>\n<p>vii. To implement NPHL laboratory quality management system;<\/p>\n<p>viii. To assist in the training of laboratory technologists;<\/p>\n<p>ix. To participate in EQA scheme in parasitological tests and review results thereof;<\/p>\n<p>x. To analyze and provide feedback on EQA panels;<\/p>\n<p>xi. To apply parasitological knowledge and skills in disease surveillance and quality assurance;<\/p>\n<p>xii. To identify and address complaints, non-conformances and corrective actions;<\/p>\n<p>xiii. Secondary Education and a Certificate of Medical Laboratory Science or its equivalent qualifications from recognized institution;<\/p>\n<p>ii. Registered with Tanzania Health Laboratory Practitioners Council<\/p>\n<p>iii. Three years post working in the Laboratory;<\/p>\n<p>iv. Basic Computer skills; and<\/p>\n<p>v.
