{"id":19729,"date":"2021-03-09T06:07:28","date_gmt":"2021-03-09T03:07:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/?p=19729"},"modified":"2021-03-09T06:07:28","modified_gmt":"2021-03-09T03:07:28","slug":"grumeti-reserves-tanzania-limited-housekeeping-supervisor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/grumeti-reserves-tanzania-limited-housekeeping-supervisor\/","title":{"rendered":"Grumeti Reserves Tanzania Limited &#8211; Housekeeping Supervisor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jobs at Grumeti Reserves Tanzania Limited &#8211; Housekeeping Supervisor<br \/>\n<script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2019 Links AD --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"9648899391\" data-ad-format=\"link\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nPosition:\u00a0<b>Housekeeping Supervisor<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Scope of work<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In broad terms the housekeeping supervisor oversees the following key performance areas:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate with the head housekeeper and housekeeping staff continuously to ensure smooth running of the department and ongoing motivation of staff<\/li>\n<li>Supervision of lodge cleaning and preparation to achieve and maintain Singita standards<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring of housekeeping equipment and lodge furnishing in order to facilitate upkeep<\/li>\n<li>Training and development of staff in accordance with HR requirements<\/li>\n<li>Performance management of staff to ensure maximum productivity and a positive staff morale<\/li>\n<li>Providing the \u201cextra touches\u201d to the lodge suites \/ and laundry to ensure the guest experience is special; and monitoring the maintenance of the standards set by Style and D\u00e9cor team<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the laundry \/ housekeeping team to ensure the timeous and safe washing \/ironing of guest laundry; and easy access for staff to a functioning laundry facilities and other responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with lodge management re housekeeping issues and standards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2019-CreativeAD --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"8884173138\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend the morning meetings [in absence of the Ass Head Housekeeper or Head Housekeeper] to ensure the Housekeeping department is up to date as regards lodge plans and that management is kept informed of housekeeping matters of general interest<\/li>\n<li>Provide maintenance issue list daily to facilitate the maintenance process<\/li>\n<li>Complete monthly stock takes from all housekeeping related areas to ensure that shrinkage is kept to a minimum and stock control is maximised<\/li>\n<li>Manage the housekeeping stores and ensure that shrinkage of consumables is kept to a minimum and stock control is maximized.<\/li>\n<li>Attend and cross train in either laundry or room responsibilities or where capacity needs to be built<\/li>\n<li>Company training manuals and courses to be completed according to the specific requirements (Lobster\/Ecolab Training etc.) 15. Move between all Singita and supportive properties when required<\/li>\n<li>As such the person filling this position needs to have:<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of housekeeping standards and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience as a housekeeper in a similar establishment<\/li>\n<li>Strong administration ability \u2013 particularly in terms of procurement and stock control<\/li>\n<li>Computer skills \u2013 E-mail, MS Word and Excel in particular<\/li>\n<li>The ability to manage, motivate and train a large staff complement<\/li>\n<li>Assertiveness and strong communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and consistent follow up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Reliability<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Agility and stamina<\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibility<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ability to work under a continuous pressure, extra hours &amp;
