Africa and the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p><b>Background<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Sustainable Agnculture Kigoma Region Project (SAKIRP) is an agri\u00adbusiness and value chain development project funded by the Belgian government through its implementing agency. Enabel.. The project\u2019s specific objective is to increase and diversify smallholder farmer in\u00adcomes in Kigoma region, especially for women, through pro-poor de\u00advelopment of beans, cassava and sunflower value chains. The project alms to reach 20.000 smallholder farmers during the four-year imple\u00admentation penod.<\/p>\n<p><b>The project has the following mutually reinforcing results:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Value chains management and coordination mechanisms are in\u00adstalled and steer cassava and beans value chain development:<\/li>\n<li>Sound financial mechanisms are developed, and financial organi\u00adsations are strengthened to support value chains development;<\/li>\n<li>Public and private chain supporters provide effective services to value chains actors;<\/li>\n<li>Stronger position of smallholders in the value chain through im\u00adproved integration and empowerment;<\/li>\n<li>Improved market access and sustainable trade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Water and Sanitation Kigoma Region Project (WASKIRP) is a project focusing on water supply services sustainability in rural areas. In rural Tanzania and Kigoma region many water supply systems are mal functioning or out of order due to weak management, ageing infra\u00adstructures and lack of Operation and Maintenance (O&amp;M) throughout time. As a consequence, a large part of the population is suffering from inadequate and intermittent water supply. For these reasons WASKIRP will be supporting the establishment of Community Owned Water Sup\u00adply Organizations (COWSO) as well as improving existing infrastruc\u00adtures with a view of sustaining the water supply service in the long run. The project is aligned with national policies and strategies, contributing directly to the implementation of Tanzania Water &amp; Sanitation Develop\u00adment Plan 2007-2020 (WSDP).<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Under the hierarchical authority of the International Finance and Ad\u00administration Officer the Logistics and Purchasing Officer manages small purchases and is responsible for the logistical aspects such as the operational management of buildings and equipment, transporta\u00adtion of goods, exemptions\u2026<\/p>\n<p><b>As Logistics and Purchasing Officer:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are responsible to put in place procurement procedures and for the good application thereof in order to have equipment that is adapted to the needs of the users\/projects safely available;<\/li>\n<li>You are responsible to verify\/survey matenals with the help of an office inventory in order for equipment, including the communi\u00adcation systems, to function correctly and to guarantee a suitable working environment;<\/li>\n<li>You are responsible to submit registration requests to customs, etc. for the claiming of materials and equipment in order for the projects to be able to dispose of the goods as soon as possible and to avoid having to pay lateness fees or fines;<\/li>\n<li>You provide support to the projects.located in the Kigoma Region in Tanzania, in terms of protocol in order to ensure good execu\u00adtion of various tasks\/procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2019-CreativeAD --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"8884173138\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n<b>Your profile<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Required qualifications and experience<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor degree in administration or procurement\/logistlcs or any other relevant domain from a recognized academic institu\u00adtion ;Minimum 3 years of professional experience in logistics and procurement ;<\/li>\n<li>A professional experience in a Non-Governmental Organization\/ bilateral agency is an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Required skills and knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of translt\/customs clearance and bookkeeping is an asset;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of public procurement procedures and basics of stocks management;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read and understand technical specifications of pro\u00adcurement;<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of quality and security standards;<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of Computer software skills such as (MS Word. Excel);<\/li>\n<li>You are fluent in spoken and written Swahili.
