\nFinance Assistant<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Travel Management and VAT refund <\/p>\n

ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks Finance Assistant \u2013 Travel Management and VAT refund to be based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.<\/p>\n

The Finance Assistant (Travel Management and VAT refund Processing) will be responsible for online review of all travel related requests and reports (Travel advances and travel expenditure reports for all ICAP staff) in accordance to organization policies and facilitate timely payment. S\/he will also be responsible for filling claims for VAT reimbursement from Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), ensure attachment of necessary documents to support the claims, follow-up regularly with the TRA to seek refund and liquidate refunds into ICAP accounts.<\/p>\n

\nFinance Assistant\u00a0<\/b>\u2013 Documentation <\/p>\n

ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks Finance Assistant \u2013 Documentation to be based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.<\/p>\n

The Finance Assistant (Document Management) will be responsible for filling, downloading and uploading of all financial documents in ICAP systems to ensure that documents are easily accessible for reconciliation and audits as well as storage per available rules and regulations. S\/he will be responsible for daily downloads of all documents from ICAP system, index the documents and upload into the OnBase system (a system used by ICAP for documents storage and real time review of financial transactions). Furthermore, s\/he will also ensure the physical filing of all documents in designated areas and support location of documents during internal and external audits. S\/he will also work with other departments including procurement, administration and human resource to ensure supporting documents for payments have been uploaded into ICAP financial systems prior to processing of payments.<\/p>\n
