Must have Bachelor\u2019s degree of Education or related field plus minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY DUTIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work together as a team (Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher) to oversee a class of 35-40 students, with Lead Teacher assuming overall responsibility for the class.<\/li>\n<li>Plan lessons in accordance with the priorities (syllabus) established by Sega\u2019s Academic unit and using activity-based instructional methods.<\/li>\n<li>Execute lesson plans while maintaining discipline in the classroom.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare homework assignments to be done during the evening study session.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a daily report to Academic Mistress summarizing key activities and any incidents outside of the expected norm.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and mark weekly tests and quizzes to assess student abilities.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Evaluate and record individual student progress, and give feedback and individual or small group tutoring to students who perform below average.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Prepare a final report card to be sent home with the student.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in a weekly progress meeting with Sega\u2019s Academic unit to discuss: a) Summary of past week\u2019s lessons, b) Plan for next week\u2019s lessons, c) Issues and\/or challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Education or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language.<\/li>\n<li>Must be available for the full term from October 12 \u2013 December 17.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated written and spoken command of English language (shortlisted candidates will be evaluated during the personal interview).<\/li>\n<li>Prefer native English speaker.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The deadline for submitting the application is 14 September, 2020.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"httpsss:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdNwR-zh6kejFP7tfnlfzGcesNN3qyKDXhu6rZ2fhV05LovAA\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/b><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>English teacher\u00a0\u00a0 Sega Girls Secondary School in Morogoro seeks a \u201cqualified\u201d English teacher to teach Pre-Form 1 students using modern and innovative techniques.
