The core job for this position is to oversee implementation of project activities by providing assistance to the ITNs Distribution and Commercial Manager on a number of issues and support direct implementation of program in the field in collaboration with Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children, National Malaria Control Program as well as Presidents Office-Regional Administration and Local Government, the Medical Services Department (MSD) and other stakeholders\/projects.<\/p>\n<p><b>Specific duties include:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Assist the ITNs Distribution and Commercial Manager to develop update, approve, implement, and monitor performance against set strategic and yearly plans.<br \/>\nAssist in developing and updating the activity timelines for the project, particularly all activities occurring in the zones and regions<br \/>\nInitiate and assist with the planning process of all administrative and financial requirements for a successful implementation of an activity related to distribution of ITNs through ANC\/EPI services and schools as well as private sector.<br \/>\nLiaise with Government Staff from PO-RAG and MoHCDGEC to plan, implement, and monitor activity related to distribution of ITNs through ANC\/EPI services and schools.<br \/>\nPlan, coordinate, and execute activities associated with implementation of ITNs distribution.<br \/>\nAssist government officers in monitoring of ITNs at the health facility level.<br \/>\nFacilitating training sessions at the national and regional level.<br \/>\nAttend and present progress of field activities in collaboration with National Malaria Control Program\/PO-RAG staff in ITN review meetings.<br \/>\nSupport M&amp;E unit to ensure accuracy of data collected from the field and appropriate input of data into designated systems for effective program implementation and monitoring.<br \/>\nPresent qualitative and quantitative M&amp;E results to relevant stakeholders on a regular basis to improve ITN management at all levels.<br \/>\nConduct other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n<p><b>Required Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A degree in health or social sciences or a related advance degree.<br \/>\nProven experience in managing public health programs or projects.<br \/>\nAbility to work independently and interact with multiple partners.<br \/>\nAbility to work with a team to develop strategies and manage implementation of projects.<br \/>\nExcellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills with the professional networks.<br \/>\nDiplomatic and negotiation skills for collaborating and coordinating with a range of stakeholders.<br \/>\nProficiency with MS Word, Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other standard software.<\/p>\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A masters degree in pharmacy or health informatics.<br \/>\nPrevious experience working with USAID-funded projects and familiarity with USAID policies and reporting procedures.<br \/>\nExperience in malaria programming, specifically ITN programming.<br \/>\nExperience in logistics\/supply chain and public health commodities management.<br \/>\nExtensive experience in setting up sound and rigorous systems and procedures for effective management, and strong training and\/or education skills.<br \/>\nExperience with supply-chain management and logistics.<br \/>\nExperience with systems for accountability and mitigation of fraud.<br \/>\nSolid understanding of current MSD and MoHCDGEC\/NMCP supply chain systems and monitoring information systems.<\/p>\n<p><b>Instructions for submitting your application:<\/b><br \/>\nThe requirements differ for each job posting.
