Red Cross Advanced Lifesaving or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructor preferable<\/li>\n<li>Certified Professional Rescuer Cardiopulmonary (CPR)<\/li>\n<li>Certified First Aid<\/li>\n<li>Certified OSHA for dangerous chemicals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years working experience as lifeguard, preferable within hospitality<\/li>\n<li>Experience in teaching swim lessons highly desirable<\/li>\n<li>Experience in communicating with Government H&amp;S agencies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Determinate chlorine content &amp; pH value of water, using testing kits, record readings<\/li>\n<li>Ability to monitor all pool activities closely throughout the day and identify safety issues<\/li>\n<li>Ability to determinate hazardous conditions of the pool and swimmers<\/li>\n<li>Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge to rescue swimmers in danger of drowning<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the availability and safekeeping of emergency equipment<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of lifesaving methods and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of rules and regulations governing the conduct of the public at the pool<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in the application of lifesaving techniques and swimming<\/li>\n<li>Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to provide strategic direction to a team<\/li>\n<li>Must be a self-motivated and well-organised individual<\/li>\n<li>Trustworthy and discrete with a high degree of personal integrity and positive attitude<\/li>\n<li>Ability interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds<\/li>\n<li>Ability to contribute suggestions and improvements to the safety guidelines of the hotel<\/li>\n<li>Physically fit, healthy, agile and dexterous<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in English language, an additional languages will be a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><b><a href=\"httpsss:\/\/tz.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/lifeguard-at-mount-meru-hotel-1952536720?refId=eedecf4c-178f-4082-9793-eec68e57fe60&amp;position=22&amp;pageNum=0&amp;trk=public_jobs_job-result-card_result-card_full-click\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lifeguard Mount Meru Hotel Arusha, Tanzania Education and Certifications Certified Lifesaver &#8211;
