The aim is developing a market concept that increase the number of farmers that use fertilizer in Tanzania including\u00a0 better knowledge in plant nutrition, improved distribution\u00a0 and logistics. One of\u00a0 Yara investments in the country includes the construction of a 40 KT bulk terminal near\u00a0 the port of Dar Es Salaam which handles importation of bulk fertilizer, packaging and sale\u00a0 in Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi<\/p>\n<p>The vacancy of Project Manager \u2013 Action Africa is a temporary fixed term position based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Its main purpose is\u00a0 to ensure efficient and effective distribution of fertilizer donated by Yara Organization to support farmers in Tanzania.<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Co-ordinate distribution of\u00a0 fertilizer to selected farmers within\u00a0 Tanzania in liaison with Yara Agronomists.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with Supply Chain Manager to coordinate with Suppliers on required fleet\/wagons and negotiate reasonable rate for the benefit of the company\/project.<\/li>\n<li>Capture all trucks loaded with the product and follow up to ensure truck offloads at agreed points as well as capturing total distubution of fertilizer per region while ensuring all carriers follow HESQ and regulatory requirements in product movement to the warehouses and farmers.<\/li>\n<li>Cordinate all production report and series of QR code\u00a0 sticker stamped in each bag and all required documents before loading\/releasing product and after final destination (receipt)<\/li>\n<li>Track fertilizer distribution in collaboration with Commercial Managers, Yara Agronomists and Market Promoters, to ensure that each QR code of the fertilier is traced to the end user.<\/li>\n<li>Generate Customer\/farmer profile data to capture all required information concerning the farmers who\u00a0 get donated fertilizer which includes but not limited to names of the famers, crops grown, acreage, gender and phone numbers.<\/li>\n<li>Produce and analyze weekly inventory\u00a0 and distribution report per destination \/supplied farmers.<\/li>\n<li>Report to the relevant parties including Health Environmental Safety and Quality (HESQ) department any incidences of product loss in transit either from the port, to the farmer, or to the distributor and follow the outlined process for claim as stipulated by Yara.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Profile<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree in Supply Chain or related field.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 3 years of work\u00a0 experience in\u00a0 a global Company\u2019s Logistics department<\/li>\n<li>Competent in the use of Microsoft Office.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication in swahili and English languages<\/li>\n<li>Additional Information<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing a project\u00a0 involving agricultural activities in a rural set up is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working with remote team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Apply no later than 10th July 2020<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"httpsss:\/\/jobs.yara.com\/job\/Dar-Es-Salaam-Material-Handling-Terminal-Manager\/607554701\/?feedId=264701&amp;utm_source=LinkedInJobPostings&amp;utm_campaign=Yara_Linkedin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/b><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Material Handling Terminal Manager\u00a0 About the Unit YARA Tanzania is duly registered company under the Laws of Tanzania as a subsidiary of Fertilizers Holdings AS. with headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
