PROCUREMENT OFFICER<\/b>\u00a0(Internship)<\/p>\n

The Nzega Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (NZUWASA) is a legally established entity responsible for the overall operations and management of water supply and sanitation services in Nzega Town.<\/p>\n

The core function of the Authority is to provide clean, portable and wholesome water to Nzega District residence<\/p>\n

In order to attain its vision and mission, NZUWASA is seeking to recruit dynamic, experienced, competent and qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacant posts within the Authority\u2019s establishment.<\/p>\n


\n<\/b>PROCUREMENT OFFICER<\/b>\u00a0(1 POST)<\/p>\n

Reports To: Managing Director<\/p>\n

\u00a0Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:<\/b><\/p>\n

Holder of Bachelor Degree in Procurement and Supply\/ Logistics Management or equivalent qualifications in Business studies majoring in Procurement and Supply\/Logistics<\/p>\n

Main Duties & Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n

Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasingdepartment.
\nPreparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services and supplies.
\nFollowing and enforcing the authority\u2019s procurement policies and procedures. o Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
\nAnalyze user requirements, conduct market research and input when participating in the preparation of the Procurement Plan.
\nLiaise with user department to initiate procurement as per approved plan.
\nProvide orientation and training to Project Area Authority technical teams on procurement planning and management.
\nParticipate in performing secretariat duties to Tender Board including to review evaluation done by the Tender Evaluation Committees.
\nTo facilitate Audits and respond to auditors queries.
\nPerforms any duties as maybe assigned by ones reporting officer.<\/p>\n

GENERAL CONDITIONS<\/b><\/p>\n

All applicants must be citizens of Tanzania of not more than 45 years of age.
\nApplicants must attach an upto date curriculum vitae (CV) having reliable contacts, postal address\/ post code, email and telephone numbers.
\nApplicants must attach their certified copies of the following certificates; Degree\/ Advance Diploma Transcripts, Form IV and Form VI national examination certificates, Birth Certificates. Form IV and Form VI results slip are strictly not accepted.
\nApplicants who have \/ were retired from the public service for whatever reason should not apply.
\nApplicants should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts.
\nApplicants with special needs\/ case (disability) are supposed to indicate.
\nA signed application letter should be written either in Swahili or English and address to
