Admin Assistant (Finance)\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The African Trade Insurance Agency (\u201cATI\u201d) is a pan-African multilateral financial institution established in 2001 by African States. ATI was originally launched with the technical and financial support from the World Bank Group and has had more recent support from the African Development Bank. ATI has grown into a market leader for risk mitigation in Africa, establishing itself as Africa\u2019s primary trade and investment insurer and one of Africa\u2019s largest Development Finance Institutions with an outstanding portfolio exceeding US$6bn at year end 2019.<\/p>\n

ATI provides political and credit risk insurance to companies, investors and lenders doing business in Africa. For over a decade, ATI has maintained an A rating for Financial Strength and Counterparty Credit by Standard & Poor\u2019s, and in 2019 obtained a second A3\/Stable rating from Moody\u2019s. ATI\u2019s membership includes African Member States as well as a number of corporate and institutional shareholders. Job Description \u2013\u00a0Admin Assistant (Finance)<\/b><\/p>\n

Under the supervision of, and reporting to the Senior Administrative & Procurement Officer, the functions and duties shall be as follows:<\/p>\n

Timely process and submit VAT exemption applications to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and proactively follow up on approvals of the applications
\nPerform protocol\/logistical functions involving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Kenya Revenue Authority
\nManage files and filling room
\nManage the stores including receipt, issuance of stock items
\nAssist with managing the fixed asset physical inventory
\nAssist with the disposal of used\/redundant assets
\nSupervise the drivers
\nManage the cleaning and security of outsourced services
\nOffice management including minor maintenance\/repair works<\/p>\n

Arrange for banqueting facilities during internal meetings
\nResponsible for acquisition and maintenance of records of kitchen supplies
\nAssist with staff relocations
\nPerform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time<\/p>\n

Qualifications & Attributes<\/b><\/p>\n

University Degree
\nAbility to work and draft memos and letters with minimum or no supervision
\nAt least four years of experience working in a Multilateral Institution
\nExperience in dealing with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Kenya Revenue Authority
\nExcellent written and oral communication skills in English
\nExcellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
\nUndoubted integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality<\/p>\n

Qualifications, Experience and other Attributes<\/b><\/p>\n

The successful candidates must have suitable qualifications, experience and attributes as indicated under the respective job descriptions on ATI\u2019s website. All the roles require excellent communications skills in written and spoken English. Knowledge of French and an ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
