{"id":16656,"date":"2020-06-11T20:00:10","date_gmt":"2020-06-11T17:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/?p=16656"},"modified":"2020-06-11T07:14:11","modified_gmt":"2020-06-11T04:14:11","slug":"jobs-at-total-purchasing-manager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/jobs-at-total-purchasing-manager\/","title":{"rendered":"Jobs at Total, Purchasing Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-header\">\n<div class=\"post-header-line-1\"><b>PURCHASING MANAGER\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"post-body-1657767576406283986\" class=\"post-body entry-content\"><b><br \/>\n<\/b>Description<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare the Annual Purchasing Plan<\/li>\n<li>Participate actively in the Corporate Purchasing plans<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate existing corporate purchasing policy and recommend changes as needed<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate existing and potential suppliers; recommend and implement changes in suppliers<\/li>\n<li>Make recommendations on the use of alternate materials<\/li>\n<li>Identify and optimize common inventories among facilities<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation and management of the departmental budget<\/li>\n<li>Process timely selection of contractors and subcontractors for company contracted services in accordance with the approved company procurement policy and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Purchase materials in a timely manner and at the lowest cost.<\/li>\n<li>Planning and execution of procurement of imports, local purchases of spares, stationery, office supplies and services including coordination of logistics.<\/li>\n<li>Management and monitoring of list of suppliers and ensure proper contract signature for each supplier in the company account.<\/li>\n<li>Optimize stock levels of stationery through optimal re-order levels and re-order qualities to avoid over stocking or stock outs.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct timely and accurate reporting including monthly reports of imports.<\/li>\n<li>Attain the target for overall inventory turns per year and in accordance with the categorized purchasing expenditure issued.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze trends in vendor pricing and sales activity to determine correct timing of purchases.<\/li>\n<li>Issue purchase orders and changes timely and in accordance with company procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Implementation and maintenance of a regularized emergency purchases procedure and policies.<\/li>\n<li>Anticipate and monitor procurement procedures timely and avoid customs delays and other import regulation delays.<\/li>\n<li>Verify accuracy of computerized purchasing records<\/li>\n<li>Maintain proficiency in computerized purchasing\/business systems; be literate and functional with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bachelors Degree and a post graduate degree in procurement and supply chain management.<br \/>\nKnowledge of Key procurement programs and SAP will be an added advantage.<br \/>\nSound knowledge of Tanzania importation process, customs and procurement procedures.<br \/>\nGood communication skills.<\/p>\n<p>Give your best to better energy and make the commitment with Total.
