POSITION DESCRIPTION:<\/b>
\nBulyahnulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Long Hole Driller to join our team. The successful candidate for this position will ensure activities in the Long Hole Mining section are effectively planned and undertaken in a safe and cost effective manner to achieve targets in accordance to BGML Mining Safety Standards, Policies and Procedures.<\/p>\n

Reporting to: First Line Leader – Mining
\nWork Schedule: 7 Days On \/ 7 Days Night \/ 7 Days Off
\nDuration: 1 Year .<\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Attend daily line up & toolbox meeting<\/li>\n
  • Collect drilling consumables & mining instructions<\/li>\n
  • Attend daily line up & toolbox meeting<\/li>\n
  • Perform pre-use inspection<\/li>\n
  • Perform Entry examination at workplace<\/li>\n
  • Barricade & signage<\/li>\n
  • Scaling Conduct Equipment Setup for Drilling<\/li>\n
  • Perform drilling both down hole, up hole, drop rise and inverse rise<\/li>\n
  • Record & report drilling performance<\/li>\n
  • Monitor workplace safety<\/li>\n
  • Uncouple equipment & remove from workplace<\/li>\n
  • Perform charging activities<\/li>\n
  • Cleaning Equipment<\/li>\n
  • Working at height<\/li>\n
  • Install Services, Air & Water, Ventilation<\/li>\n
  • Support Installation<\/li>\n
  • Conduct charging of Blast Holes<\/li>\n
  • Identify improved drilling methods<\/li>\n
  • Observe drilling time per meter<\/li>\n
  • Mentor trainees on the LH rig<\/li>\n
  • Observing drilling practice to optimize drilling consumables<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    SKILLS \/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:<\/b><\/p>\n

    • Excellent English Communication Skills in both writing and verbal<\/li>\n
    • Hazard identification and Risk Assessment<\/li>\n
    • Understand drilling technics for both down hole and up hole<\/li>\n
    • Mine health and Safety Act awareness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:<\/b><\/p>\n

      • Ordinary Secondary education<\/li>\n
      • Long hole drill rig operating skills in both solo and quasar<\/li>\n
      • Driving Ability with valid driving licence<\/li>\n
      • Valid Blasting licence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:<\/b><\/p>\n

        • Minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in mining industry<\/li>\n

                  • Presentation of best practices to other people<\/li>\n
