{"id":15416,"date":"2020-03-28T14:00:18","date_gmt":"2020-03-28T11:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/?p=15416"},"modified":"2020-03-28T09:46:20","modified_gmt":"2020-03-28T06:46:20","slug":"job-opportunity-assistant-accountant-at-ats-tsebo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/job-opportunity-assistant-accountant-at-ats-tsebo\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Opportunity &#8211; Assistant accountant at ATS Tsebo"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"post-body-2724343066621743649\" class=\"post-body entry-content\"><b>Assistant accountant<\/b><\/p>\n<p>ATS Tsebo Tanzania is currently seeking to appoint an assistant accountant<\/p>\n<p>Reports to: ATS Tsebo Project Accountant.<\/p>\n<p><b>Education\/Experience\/Qualifications\/Skill Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualifications: Diploma\/Degree in related field.<\/p>\n<p><b>Job related work experience: \u2013<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A good understanding of our business<\/li>\n<li>A working experience in commercial environment<\/li>\n<li>Good appreciation of tax and other statutory requirements<\/li>\n<li>Spreadsheet and Accounting software familiarization<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable ability in Admin and Logistics support<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use vested authority to ensure respect and produce result<\/li>\n<li>Track record of consistent competence and integrity<\/li>\n<li>Some experience in a catering or mining environment<\/li>\n<li>Independent worker with little need for supervision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Responsibilities<\/b>: \u2013<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in Revenue and Expense budget<\/li>\n<li>Assistant Accountant will assist the Project Accountant in overseeing this budget and developing cost control measures.<\/li>\n<li>The budget will be monitored through the accounting software in the camp.<\/li>\n<li>The Project will be audited periodically and Assistant Accountant must ensure that full cooperation is extended to these auditors and their information requests.<\/li>\n<li>Collecting various accounting data e.g. Inventories served to prepare and analyze financial income and other accounting statement and reports.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining general accounting systems for use by management in controlling expenditure and ensuring compliance with tax laws.<\/li>\n<li>Assist developing approvals and implementation of accounting standards and procedures to ensure uniform accounting practices, adequate internal controls, and compliance with statutory regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Cost accounting and General accounting.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with department heads, area managers, and others in management on accounting matters and an interpretation and use of related reports.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring sound financial record keeping as well as development and maintenance of financial systems and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the preparation of monthly accounts (balance sheet and income statements).<\/li>\n<li>Balancing all accounts including stocks and cash control accounts, pre-payment accounts, accruals, inter-company accounts etc.<\/li>\n<li>Stock Control, Stock Levels, Stock Checking, Stock Variances &amp; Spoilages, and Stock Ordering \u2013 the Assistant Accountant will oversee all aspects of stock control function including spot checking stock records for accuracy.
