{"id":14941,"date":"2020-03-09T19:44:03","date_gmt":"2020-03-09T16:44:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/?p=14941"},"modified":"2020-03-10T17:12:03","modified_gmt":"2020-03-10T14:12:03","slug":"job-opportunity-at-esami-maintenance-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/job-opportunity-at-esami-maintenance-officer\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Opportunity at ESAMI &#8211; Maintenance Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2019-CreativeAD --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"8884173138\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><b>Maintenance Officer\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) seeks the services of a suitably qualified person to fill the following positions, at its Headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania.<\/p>\n<p>Position Title: Maintenance Officer<\/p>\n<p><b>Duties and Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Maintenance Officer shall be responsible for undertaking a wide range of maintenance activities related to the maintenance of the Institute\u2019s buildings, equipment, facilities and upkeep of the estates;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring effective and efficient operation of the Institutes equipment such as Boiler, generator, water pump, laundry machines, fire equipment\u2019s;<\/li>\n<li>Handling electrical and plumbing works;<\/li>\n<li>Carrying our maintenance and repairs to structural, mechanical and electrical systems, boilers, heating and ventilation systems, buildings;<\/li>\n<li>Developing and carrying out preventive and maintenance schedules and undertaking routine inspections of the buildings, fixtures, fittings;<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring utilities consumption and ensure the efficient use of the Institutes resources;<\/li>\n<li>Diagnose any faults in buildings, boiler and machines and report any defects and suggested improvements;<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and carryout emergency and regular repairs of buildings and equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all relevant health and safety regulations are complied with;<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of maintenance budgets;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the Institute Boreholes are in good running condition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2019 Links AD --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"9648899391\" data-ad-format=\"link\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A minimum of a Diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification with five (5) years\u2019 experience in maintenance related duties in a reputable organization.<\/p>\n<p><b>Competence and Skills<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and electrical systems;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of utilities and ability to safely operate electricity, gas, water systems, plant and equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Electrical and mechanical skills;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of fire and safety regulations;<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organizational skills;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge and experience on boiler operation;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Borehole functions;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2019-CreativeAD --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"8884173138\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n<b>Mode of Application<\/b><br \/>\nApplications together with detailed CV, copies of certificates and testimonials, and three (3) referees should be addressed and emailed to:<\/p>\n<p><b>The Director General<\/b><br \/>\n<b>ESAMI<\/b><br \/>\n<b>P.O.
