{"id":14727,"date":"2020-02-29T20:10:34","date_gmt":"2020-02-29T17:10:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/?p=14727"},"modified":"2020-02-29T20:10:34","modified_gmt":"2020-02-29T17:10:34","slug":"job-opportunity-at-danish-refugee-council-supply-chain-officer-procurement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/job-opportunity-at-danish-refugee-council-supply-chain-officer-procurement\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Opportunity at Danish Refugee Council &#8211; Supply Chain Officer \u2013 Procurement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job title: <b>Supply Chain Officer \u2013 Procurement<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Reporting to: Area Manager<\/p>\n<p>Location: Kyaka<\/p>\n<p><b>Overall purpose of the role:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The main purpose of this position is to procure quality, value for money, goods and services for the field office in conformity with DRC\/Donor Guidelines and policies and ensure the field office procurement plans are carried out.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all received Purchase Requisitions (PRs) timely processed<\/li>\n<li>Assist staff with price estimates and specifications required on the Purchase Requisition (PR)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the procurement tracker is updated weekly and shared every Thursday<\/li>\n<li>Send out RFQs with supplier code of conduct and ensure suppliers sign<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and\/or review Bid Analysis in a timely manner<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the supplier database at field level<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Purchase orders, attach relevant documentation and\u00a0 submit for authorization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow up with suppliers on the delivery of goods and services<\/li>\n<li>Feedback to requestor on the progress of the procurement<\/li>\n<li>Take minutes of the Tender Committee proceeding\u00a0 including the Summary Bid Analysis<\/li>\n<li>Raise Payment Request for all payments to suppliers for goods and services received<\/li>\n<li>Submit payment request to Finance Officer or Support Services Manager for review and subsequent approval by Area Manager<\/li>\n<li>Follow up payment with Finance and give feedback to suppliers who call in<\/li>\n<li>Escalate to Support Services Manager any procurement challenges and any problems with suppliers<\/li>\n<li>Receive procurement plans from programs and support and update procurement tracker<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate receipt of goods with the Supply Chain Assistant \u2013 Warehouse<\/li>\n<li>Draft framework agreements for review by the Support Services Manager<\/li>\n<li>Draft works contracts in liaison with the Engineering unit for approval by the Area Manager<\/li>\n<li>Ensure suppliers submit valid pro-forma and tax invoices with all required information on VAT and tax registration<\/li>\n<li>Educate suppliers on DRC supply chain regulations and government requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Widen the pool of local field suppliers and ensure they have appropriate documents before registration with DRC<\/li>\n<li>Ensure suppliers deliver the correct goods and request technical certification by DRC expert staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience and technical competencies:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 to 5 years\u2019 experience in a high volume procurement environment<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience with Non-Governmental Organization in similar\/related position is an asset;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of procurement regulations and guidelines for major donors like UNHCR, BPRM, EU\/ECHO is an asset<\/li>\n<li>Good command of English language<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal, communication skills with proven experience in communicating with stakeholders at all levels;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines;<\/li>\n<li>A team player and the ability to work with minimum supervision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Education:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in supply chain, purchasing and supply or relevant field.<\/li>\n<li>Professional certification such as CIPS would be an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Languages<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluency in English.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in local languages would be an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested candidates who meet the required qualifications and experience are invited to submit updated CV and cover letter explaining their motivation and why they are suited for the post.<\/p>\n<p>We only accept applications sent via our online-application form on <a href=\"httpss:\/\/www.drc.dk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">www.drc.dk<\/a> under Vacancies.
