Successful applicants will join the over 9,000 current beneficiaries, from 54 African countries, and receive business training, mentoring, a non-refundable $5,000 of seed capital and global networking opportunities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The\u00a0Tony Elumelu Foundation\u00a0(TEF) has opened applications for the 2020 Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the foundation,\u00a0successful applicants\u00a0will join the over 9,000 current beneficiaries, from 54 African countries, and receive business training, mentoring, a non-refundable $5,000 of seed capital, and global networking opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>In its 6th edition, the programme is a 10-year, $100 million commitment to identify, train, mentor, and fund 10,000 African entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p>Within the years,\u00a0Africa Development Bank,\u00a0International Committee of the Red Cross\u00a0(ICRC), the\u00a0Republic of Benin,\u00a0Government of Botswana,\u00a0Anambra government, and the\u00a0US Consulate\u00a0have all supported entrepreneurs through the programme.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, 3,050 applicants were selected out of the 216,000 submitted applications, representing 58% male, 42% female.
