The tuition fees are fully waived for the scholarship recipients.<\/p>\n<p>However, travel costs to and from Japan, visa handling fees, and health\/accident insurance costs must be covered by the student.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants for the Master of Science in Sustainability are required to have met the following admission requirements by the application deadline in order to be considered:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A strong interest in sustainability studies.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Demonstrated commitment to study and understand global issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A completed bachelor\u2019s degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university or institution of higher education in a field related to sustainability. Those who expect to graduate and have a bachelor\u2019s degree or its equivalent conferred before September 2020 may also apply.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale on the bachelor\u2019s degree earned.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 English language proficiency.\u00a0The minimum score requirements for English language qualifications required by UNU-IAS are:\u00a0600 in TOEFL \u2013 Paper-Based Testing (PBT);\u00a0100 in TOEFL \u2013 Internet-Based Testing (IBT);\u00a07.0 in IELTS \u2013 Academic format.<\/p>\n<p>The eligibility requirements for the scholarships are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Applicants must be persons from developing countries* who can demonstrate a need for financial assistance<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Applicants who are currently living in Japan under a working visa are NOT eligible for the scholarship<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Applicants who want to pursue a second master\u2019s degree at UNU-IAS are not eligible for the scholarship<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2019 Links AD --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"9648899391\" data-ad-format=\"link\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n<strong>Application instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your official application for admissions must be submitted through the\u00a0online application form.
