The global headquarters is located at I World Avenue, Little Rock Arkansas, USA.<\/p>\n<p>One the recent projects in its program portfolio is The Tanzania Milk Processing Project (TMPP), an ambitious 18 Months Project designed to increase the incomes of smallholder dairy farmers in Tanzania through better access to reliable, high-value markets while ensuring processors have access to increased supply of high-quality milk in Njombe, Rungwe, Tanga, Kilimanjaro, Arusha and Morogoro.<\/p>\n<p>In responsive to this project needs, the Country Program is seeking to recruit competent candidates for following position<\/p>\n<p>Job Title: <b>Project Drivers<\/b> \u2013 2 positions<br \/>\nLocation: Rungwe and Tanga<\/p>\n<p><b>Function<\/b>:<\/p>\n<p>The Project Driver will be responsible for maintaining Heifer vehicles by ensuring that they stay clean and receive regular maintenance. S\/he will be responsible for receiving international visitors, driving staff or guests to project sites, and running office errands\u2019\/he will work under the overall guidance of the Finance and Administrative Assistant to perform the logistics duties and some office administrative<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Essential Character Traits:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Essential traits for successful execution of the job duties, s\/he should be: proactive, good communicator, timely and highly flexible, collaborative, attentive to details, good team player and courteous.<\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities and Deliverables<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Logistics and Vehicle Management<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide the supervisor and the cluster Finance with a monthly report stating the comprehensive vehicle conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Drive company vehicles to designated and authorized destinations.<\/li>\n<li>Follow all safety rules, and ensure that all passengers follow them strictly e.g. but not limited to: all passengers to wear seat belts; passengers not to distract the driver while driving (use of mobile phone or other activities prohibited while driving), etc.<\/li>\n<li>Observe strictly the Heifer International company rules and regulations as provided for in the policies<\/li>\n<li>Manage vehicle fuel card reports and receipts, ensuring prompt reimbursement of the card<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Vehicle Maintenance<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform daily and routine preventive maintenance schedules of the vehicle including but not limited to oil, brake function, water, lights and tyre condition to increase efficiency of the vehicle.<\/li>\n<li>Report any detected defects in the vehicle and any accidents and incidents promptly.<\/li>\n<li>Direct and supervise the mechanic on necessary checks and repairs.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the vehicle is always clean and in good conditions as well as ensuring that the necessary maintenance is done as scheduled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2019 Links AD --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"9648899391\" data-ad-format=\"link\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\n<b>Vehicle documentation<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Record the vehicle daily usage\/trips, maintaining the mileage books and ensuring the safety of the vehicle and its contents<\/li>\n<li>Prepare vehicles\u2019 mileage reports monthly and inform supervisor on any concerns noted.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the expiry and renewal of his driving license, as well as the vehicle insurance and license without causing any inconvenience to the company schedule.<\/li>\n<li>May perform other job-related duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Minimum Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Secondary education with an O level certificate plus three (3) years\u2019 relevant experience in a non-profit\/developmental organization setting.<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a valid commercial driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Preferred Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Attending a tertiary and\/or professional driving training.<br \/>\nCertificate in defensive driving from a sanctioned driving institute.<\/p>\n<p><b>Mode of Application:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Potential candidates are encouraged to apply by sending applica\u00adtion letter enclosed CV and certificates\/ testimonials.
