{"id":13727,"date":"2020-01-06T15:38:58","date_gmt":"2020-01-06T12:38:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/?p=13727"},"modified":"2020-01-06T15:38:58","modified_gmt":"2020-01-06T12:38:58","slug":"job-opportunity-at-danish-refugee-council-procurement-officer-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/job-opportunity-at-danish-refugee-council-procurement-officer-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Opportunity at Danish Refugee Council, Procurement Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Procurement Officer\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Place of Work: Kibondo<br \/>\nReports to: Supply Chain Manager<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Purpose<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this job is to provide efficient and effective support to DRC Tanzania Mission in all procurement process.<\/p>\n<p><b>Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure that procurement activities are carried out as per DRC Operation Handbook and DRC Dynamics system and maintain updated data record such as; Approved Supplier list, delivery follow up, procurement tracker prices list, etc\u2026<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that DRC procurement processes are in accordance with the Operation Handbook.<\/li>\n<li>To handle the Purchase Request and ensure that the requester is well informed in the progress and any delay or unforeseen circumstances that may occur.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that the approved Purchase orders are supplied and informed the requestors<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that the procurement tracker is extracted in DRC Dynamics and share with relevant program\/department on weekly basis. Every Friday before COB.<\/li>\n<li>To share with finance and managers on weekly basis all commitment under the procurement.<\/li>\n<li>To support the supply chain department, establish a pre-qualified supplier list for Tanzania and Burundi<\/li>\n<li>To closely work with other support services departments to establish more Purchase Agreements for common goods needed for DRC operations.<\/li>\n<li>To support in establishing a price list of essential items and materials commonly procured to guide the program managers when raising the Purchase Orders and also for proposal writing.<\/li>\n<li>To carry out be-annual market survey to in order to review the procurement of goods to obtain the best value for money<\/li>\n<li>To maintain and reviewing all records of procured goods including their cost, deliveries and payment are done on time<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the supply market trends for updates information like current market price, new products and suppliers as well.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a good handling of documentation and compliances work related to procurement are filed and kept in the good order for control and audit purposes<\/li>\n<li>To closely work with program managers and keep them informed at all time the status of their request to enable them to plan.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that the DRC and Donors procurement procedures are comply and adhere to.<\/li>\n<li>To adhere to DRC Code of Conduct and DRC specific procurement procedures within the logistics department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Person specification<\/b><br \/>\n<b><br \/>\n<\/b> <b>Essential<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competent and organised logistician with a minimum of 1-2 years of international NGO experience<\/li>\n<li>Resource fullness and the ability to prioritise and cope with large amounts of work under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in procurement and supply chain management including procurement, transport, distribution, Warehouse and stock management.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in vehicle and fleet management.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and team skills.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in written and spoken English<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to and understanding of DRC\u2019s aims, values and principles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Desirable<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Experience in working closely with the Refugees in the Camp<\/p>\n<p>Deadline for submission is 15 January, 2020.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"httpsss:\/\/candidate.hr-manager.net\/ApplicationInit.aspx?cid=1036&amp;ProjectId=158030&amp;uiculture=en&amp;MediaId=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Warning:<\/b> Never Pay To Get A Job.
