Meeting official personnel and visitors at the airport including visa and customs formalities arrangement when required;<br \/>\nEnsure cost-effectiveness in the use of vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs, provision of inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports.<br \/>\nEnsure proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc.<br \/>\nEnsure availability of all the required documents\/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, and map of the city\/country, first aid kit, and necessary spare parts in the assigned vehicle.<br \/>\nEnsure that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents.<br \/>\nPerform any other tasks assigned by the Head of Office<br \/>\nLong Description<br \/>\nLong Description<br \/>\nLong Description<\/p>\n<p><b>COMPETENCIES<\/b> (Core \/ Managerial)<br \/>\nAccountability (C)<br \/>\nCommunication (C)<br \/>\nInnovation (C)<br \/>\nKnowledge sharing and continuous improvement (C)<br \/>\nPlanning and organizing (C)<br \/>\nResults focus (C)<br \/>\nTeamwork (C)<\/p>\n<p>For detailed information, please consult the UNESCO Competency Framework.<\/p>\n<p><b>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS<\/b><br \/>\nEducation<\/p>\n<p>Secondary Education<br \/>\nCompleted national valid Driver\u2019s license and valid defensive driving certificate.<\/p>\n<p><b>Work Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a driver in international organizations, embassies or UN system with a safe driving record.<\/p>\n<p><b>Skills and competencies\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Good knowledge of driving rules and local traffic regulations is essential,<br \/>\nAbility to diagnose any technical error\/ faults may occur in vehicles,<br \/>\nAbility to provide daily maintenance for the vehicles,<br \/>\nAbility to fix minor technical faults,<br \/>\nFamiliarity with relevant Power Spectral Density (PSD) communication equipment, computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Power point),<br \/>\nGood knowledge of the city, local roads and conditions where the Office is located,<br \/>\nProven knowledge of driving rules and regulations as chauffeur protocol and courtesies, and local roads and conditions.<\/p>\n<p><b>Languages<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Excellent\/very good knowledge of English.<br \/>\nDESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS<br \/>\nBENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENTS<br \/>\nUNESCO\u2019s salaries consist of a basic salary and other benefits which may include if applicable: 30 days annual leave, family allowance, medical insurance, pension plan etc.<\/p>\n<p>For more information in benefits and entitlements, please consult ICSC website and UNESCO\u2019s career website.<\/p>\n<p><b>ASSESSMENT<\/b><br \/>\nAn assessment exercise may be used in the evaluation of candidates.<\/p>\n<p><b>Footer<\/b><br \/>\nUNESCO applies a zero tolerance policy against all forms of harassment<\/p>\n<p>UNESCO is committed to promoting geographical distribution (last update) and gender equality within its Secretariat.
