Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CRDB Bank PLC is looking for suitable person to fill a vacant position of Regulatory<br \/>\nAssurance Management &#8211; Officer in the Department of Risk &amp; Compliance at the Head Office,<br \/>\nin Dar es Salaam.<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Purpose:<\/b><br \/>\nUndertake compliance reviews, and support business through provision of relevant<br \/>\nrecommendations, implementation and corrective measures and follow-ups, and providing<br \/>\ncompliance advisory services (strategic, tactic and transactional day-to-day compliance advice<br \/>\nand direction) and specific recommendations to adequately manage compliance risks related to<br \/>\nregulatory and conduct aspects.<\/p>\n<p><b>Key Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the compliance risk assessment, ensuring regulatory compliance risks are appropriately identified, assessed, and managed by engaging appropriate business units and determine a plan to address those risks.<\/li>\n<li>Execution of regulatory monitoring and testing strategies for the entire bank: enhance compliance monitoring of applicable rules and regulations, internal policies, procedures and guidelines to enable effective identification and mitigation of all compliance risk elements.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the bank\u2019s Regulatory Obligation Matrix: ensuring is up to date and all regulatory requirements are fully captured and understood by businesses &amp; support functions.<\/li>\n<li>Oversight of the regulatory reporting process to regulators, ensuring complete, accurate and timely reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the bank\u2019s Regulatory Liaison Tracker to ensure all requirements are attended consistent with deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all issues or comments from regulators are addressed and incorporated into policies, procedures, and training as necessary and shared across Lines of Businesses.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain records and reports of meetings and correspondences with regulators and ensure proper follow &#8211; up on open commitments as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Review new products, projects, business initiatives and agreements, monitor and develop compliance profiles of new areas of activities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure day-to-day monitoring and reporting of compliance risks.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure understanding of relevant regulatory requirements in order to provide advice and guidance to compliance team and internal stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Inform on an ongoing basis of any regulatory breaches and other regulatory issues\/concerns.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and keep abreast of new laws and changes to laws and regulations, in order to be up to date with current compliance requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Regulatory Assurance Manager with compliance management and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Timely compilation of reports from Zonal Risk and Compliance Analysts.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation of standard and ad-hoc information and data reports to regulators and other stakeholders as required.<\/li>\n<li>Attend professional education courses, seminars and conferences, identify and analyze new laws and changes to laws and regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Attributes:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong understanding of key regulatory requirements and implications to businesses.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge and understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and banking laws.<\/li>\n<li>Good performance management skills and effective risk management and be able to promote strong risk management culture.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of the Core Banking System, bank&#8217;s products, all bank policies, operational procedures and operating systems with knowledge of the controls and procedures on branch operations.<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organizing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding and appreciation of Compliance Risk Management principals and standards; regulatory requirements and best practices relevant to banking.<\/li>\n<li>Basic understanding of Enterprise Risk Management framework and compliance control environment.<\/li>\n<li>Good presentation skills with ability to prepare quality reports.<\/li>\n<li>Attentive to details, with intellectual and analytical skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications and Experience:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Banking experience of at least 2 years preferably in Regulatory Compliance\/ Audit\/<\/li>\n<li>Risk management or Legal, with exposure in preparing analytical management reports and stakeholders engagement.<\/li>\n<li>University Degree\/ Advanced Diploma in Finance\/ Law\/ Economics \/ Banking \/Accounting or equivalent qualifications.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Possession of the following qualifications will be an added advantage: CRCM, CPA, CAMS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Remuneration:<\/b><br \/>\nCRDB BANK PLC offers competitive remuneration and benefits.
