{"id":13461,"date":"2019-12-23T17:38:18","date_gmt":"2019-12-23T14:38:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/?p=13461"},"modified":"2019-12-23T17:38:18","modified_gmt":"2019-12-23T14:38:18","slug":"job-opportunities-at-world-vision-international-drivers-itilima-karatu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unistoretz.com\/magazine\/job-opportunities-at-world-vision-international-drivers-itilima-karatu\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Opportunities at World Vision International, DRIVERS-Itilima &amp; Karatu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Title: <b>Drivers<\/b> -Itilima &amp; Karatu<\/p>\n<p>15437-10N29005<br \/>\nTanzania Nyasa<br \/>\nFixed term, Full-time<br \/>\nDeadline: 03-Jan-20<\/p>\n<p><b>Purpose of the position:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To drive WVT vehicles so as to facilitate staff\/visitor movements as assigned by Senior Transport Officer and keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition<\/li>\n<li>Communicate World Vision&#8217;s Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.<\/li>\n<li>To keep vehicle clean, in good condition for use and take care of all tool kit<\/li>\n<li>Drive all WVT vehicle and ensure that fuel, oil, water, tires and general state of the car has been checked before use<\/li>\n<li>Maintain log book for each and every trip<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that vehicles is serviced as planned<\/li>\n<li>To ensure all visitors sign the child protection forms as soon as they are picked up.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that the vehicle is not overloaded either by people or luggage<\/li>\n<li>Report any adverse observation of a vehicle to Senior Transport Officer<\/li>\n<li>Remind\/advice Senior Transport Officer to matters pertaining to services and repairs of vehicles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Other Competencies\/Attributes:<\/b><br \/>\nMust be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.<br \/>\nPerform other duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><b>Qualifications:<\/b> Education\/Knowledge\/Technical Skills and Experience<br \/>\nThe following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:<\/p>\n<p><b>Minimum Qualification required:<\/b> Form Four with a valid class C driving license<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience: 3 years in driving<\/li>\n<li>Preferred: Form Four with NIT Advanced Driving Certificate<\/li>\n<li>Technical Skills &amp; Abilities:<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate in English and good command of Kiswahili<\/li>\n<li>Good relationship with other staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Working Environment \/ Conditions:<\/b><br \/>\nWork environment: Office-based with regular travel to the field<br \/>\nTravel: 15% Domestic travel is required.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"httpsss:\/\/careers.wvi.org\/jobs\/tanzania\/support-services\/driver-itilima-and-karatu\/14091\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">TO APPLY CLICK HERE!`<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Warning:<\/b> Never Pay To Get A Job.
