MDH seeks to recruit qualified individuals to fill the following positions:<\/p>\n<p><b>DISTRICT COMMUNITY FIELD ASSISTANT<\/b> :4 posts; Tabora<\/p>\n<p>Reports to the District Community Field Officer.<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Summary:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Field Assistant supports day-to-day field implementation of a community-based HIV testing and prevention program. Field Assistant will work closely with the Field Officer(s) to ensure delivery\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0of community-based HIVtesting services for\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0target\u00a0 \u00a0beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p><b>Duties and Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in the work plan development for daily implementation at district level of field activities.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct day-to-day program implementation at the site level including preparing logistics for field activities.<\/li>\n<li>Support the delivery of field-based HIV prevention services to beneficiaries by community outreach volunteers, including rollout of day and night mobile outreach campaigns.<\/li>\n<li>Support HIV testing and pre and post-test counselling with beneficiaries, and facilitate referrals for HIV positive clients.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor and supervise peer outreach volunteers regularly and frequently during outreach sessions and lead weekly outreach volunteer meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare adequate supplies of commodities and tools to outreach volunteers and healthcare workers.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with healthcare workers and community outreach volunteers to ensure all data collection tools are entered appropriately, and conduct on-job mentorship for community outreach volunteers.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with identifying\/screening, recruitment, and training of community outreach volunteers from peer groups to implement the outreach services.<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Education, work experience and skills<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advance Diploma\/Diploma level trained personnel (nurse, clinical officer, laboratory technician,) who have current qualifications and training in phlebotomy and HIV testing duties.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years\u2019 experience providing HIV testing and counselling services with demonstrated familiarity with MOH systems, tools and procedure for HIV testing and care management<\/li>\n<li>Excellent speaking, reading, and writing skills in English and Kiswahili.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills, at minimum with Microsoft Office package.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding clients\u2019 health status and sensitive information contained in data sources.<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility to work after normal working hours and weekends at informal gatherings and entertainment centers and travel extensively to remote areas, including islands.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>TO APPLY:<\/b><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\"><p>Interested candidates should submit an application letter, CV, and three work related referees by January 5, 2020, to the Human Resource Director through e-mail:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\"><p><b>hr@mdh-tz.org<\/b> or dropped by hand at the MDH Head Office in Mikocheni, along Mwai Kibaki Road, Plot No. 802.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JOB ANNOUNCEMENT Management and Development for Health (MDH) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization whose primary aim is to contribute to address public health priorities.\u00a0 All job positions below\u00a0 require significant field work and travel up to 70% of the time.
