Typically, a sales manager will have their own account base or they may be a partner in a job share setting. The primary function is to book business from their prospecting and solicitation efforts and respond to inquiries.<br \/>\nDevelopment of account relationships across the wide network of DMC\u2019s within the local market is a key component as is a strong market awareness.<\/p>\n<p><b>Essential Functions<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make telephone and personal sales calls on accounts in assigned market areas.<\/li>\n<li>Develop an excellent working relationship with the Four Seasons Hotel World Wide Sales Office<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates standards awareness, by setting example for standards execution, standards testing and implementing action plans to achieve established product and service goals<\/li>\n<li>Prepares annual account plans and forecasts, consistently monitors and manages budgetary goals and personal targets.<\/li>\n<li>Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a professional appearance at all times and to conduct personal behavior in a mature professional business manner when representing the resort or company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Other Functions<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Compile and maintain up to date Delphi records.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in familiarization and site inspection visits as required; please note this may require time away from home over weekends and Bank Holidays.<\/li>\n<li>Travel and solicit business designated by the marketing plan and the Director of Sales &amp; Marketing.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct at least 2 daily face to face sales calls within assigned area.<\/li>\n<li>Solicit from client base repeat bookings or referrals to other Four Seasons Hotels.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure updates of the permanent files for all groups with strong room night potential.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an effective plan of correspondence.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct tours of property with meeting planners when the scale of the business demands presence on property.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue\/profit potential while satisfying client needs.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate, solicit, sell and confirm business as required to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- 2019 Links AD --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"9648899391\" data-ad-format=\"link\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop data and recommend programs to meets clients needs as well as recommend alternate proposals.<\/li>\n<li>Provide input on the local segment of the marketing plan and budget.<\/li>\n<li>Report on a monthly basis against plan\/goal.<\/li>\n<li>Always keep Director of Marketing \/Sales promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his\/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate effectively with other Department Heads to ensure quality of guest\/group satisfaction.<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up on progress of all confirmed business.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in planning, developing and executing projects for assigned market areas to increase sales activity, volume and profit.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to maintain assigned files in accordance to guidelines outlined in account coverage programs.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a complete working knowledge of the local competition.<\/li>\n<li>Consistently promote the hotel services.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Lodge management and staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>REPORTING TO:<\/b>\u00a0Director of Sales &amp; Marketing<\/p>\n<p><b>Special Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Education:<\/b>\u00a0Diploma in Hotel Management or Marketing studies is preferable but not mandatory.<br \/>\n<b>Experience:<\/b>\u00a03 years\u2019 experience in direct sales with a luxury hotel operator or other travel operated<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"httpsss:\/\/fourseasons.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com\/search\/job\/Serengeti\/Sales-Manager_REQ10180178-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"httpsss:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-format=\"autorelaxed\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4564014896468666\" data-ad-slot=\"1770409377\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Sales Manager Job Description Summary Sales Manager for Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti selling North and South America; Transient and Group business.
